I have a new house and media room, prewired for 7.1. I just hung the projector yesterday night. I need to hookup my subwoofer.
I have behind the wall plate (at both ends) a RG59 20AWG cable for the subwoofer. Just the cable, chopped off, no connectors, no RCA connectors, no nothing, just the cable.
In order to hook up my sub, what do I need and how do I go about doing it?
I have searched the forums and I think I am using the wrong terms. I need the idiots's guide.
I have multiple little coax male/male adpaters (I pulled them off the coax wall plates to make room to pass my speaker wires through).
I think I need a crimping tool, plus some sort of connector to attach the RG59 to an female RCA plug that then plugs into the Subwoofer and AVR.
I ran across this:
Is that it?
If so, what do I search for either at monoprice or partsexpress?
What if I want to have the RG59 terminate in the wall plate, and then have the subwoofer line in plug into the wall plate. Is it any different?
