Hello,

I'm Peter from the Netherlands and I've got a question.

I've got a Epson TW-3200 projector which has a trigger out. My screen is controllable with a RF remote. What I want to do is connect the trigger out to a relay and when the projector switches on it completes the circuit and 'pushes' the down button and vice verse.

The problem I'm facing is that there is always a completed circuit. So, if anyone knows how to correct this that would be great.

Below is my schematic.

I know there are different options out there but I really want this to work smile.gif

Thank you for your time.

use a 555 timer as a 'one shot/monostable' to provide the momentary trigger.

I've done some drawing:

Am I in the right direction? When trigger input is less than 1/3 Vs output is high. When trigger input is high and C1 is 2/3 Vs output is low?
I'm using 2 relays because other wise I don't know how to trigger each 'button'.

Or can someone draw me a schematic? I'm so lost here...

Hi Peter,

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for (it doesn't use the projector's trigger at all), I'm not sure if you've seen it, but this thread talks about several items that might be relevant to your project:

Using a Velleman switching kit might give you alternatives to creating something from scratch. Just a thought.
