I need to replace my old Benkin Pure AV 9 outlets surge protector because i need more outlets (at least 16)

I've bought two surge protectors that didn't work for me. First one (CyberPower RKBS20ST6F12R) had a NEMA L5-20P so i couldn't connect it in a normal house power outlet. Second one (Tripp Lite PDUMV15) was listed under newegg's surge protector category but when i received it the manual warns me that it DOES NOT provide surge protection.

I will be connecting a $3000+ VT50 plasma TV, a $5000 home theater speakers, HTPC, receiver, xbox360, ps3 (and more) so i need something reliable.

Here are my requirements:
- Good surge protection
- Warranty in case my connected equippement blows up (Belkin offers $250,000 warranty)
- 16 outlets or more
- Small size, should be able to install it mounted on a wall
- Cost under $250
- A whole-house surge protector system is NOT an option for me as i live in appartment and i am moving soon

Thanks !

Oh well, this page definatly convinced me to buy a SurgeX :
http://www.avsforum.com/t/1171818/surge-protector-recommendations

However, the SurgeX products with a lot of outlets are very expensive.

I am now wondering if it would be safe to buy a $300 SurgeX XF2 with 2 outlets, then take my "Tripp Lite PDUMV15" (16 outlets, not surge protected) and connect it to the SurgeX XF2 ?

So i would have a 16 outlets PDU connected to the SurgeX XF2

Daisy chaining power strips is not a good idea.

Powering 16 devices off a surge suppressor rated 8A probably isn't a good idea, either.
