Hi, how are you doing?

I was wondering if some one can tell my if there is a way of conecting a Genius SW-5.1 3005 (http://www.geniusnet.com/wSite/ct?xItem=19400&ctNode=1289), to a TV sony (http://www.onyougo.com/sony-kdl-40bx455-lcd-tvs-specs_pi1774746e2).

The home connectors are RCA to Jack 3.5mm, it have 3 jacks, 1 for front speakers, 1 for back speakers, and 1 for center and subwoofer.

Thancks for reading.

Unfortunately not... That unit has only a 5-channel analog audio input, meant to attach to a PC's sound card output. There is no digital audio input and no on-board Dolby decoding, so no good way to connect it to your TV.

Thanks!

Your question is probably better asked in the HTPC (Home Theater PC) forum - actually it's called the "Home Theater Computers" forum here... But most modern laptops designed for consumers will have enough horsepower to play an HD film. It's probably more an issue of connectivity. You need an HDMI output, and if you want to use those speakers, you'll need a 5-channel analog audio output. Those are rare on laptops - but you could get an external USB sound card that would have them...
