turn on AVR non Ir solution

plan consist of a pioneer sc-95 with atmos channel preouts feeding a denon avr 988. Both have 12v out triggers but neither have trigger in . denon has room to room remote in and out. i have a harmony one/900 but i would like to avoid using that since i use my xbox kinect voice commands to control everything. A trigger power strip would send power to the denon but it would be in standby. is there any non ir solution that would turn the denon on with the pioneer
????

Sell the Denon and use the proceeds to buy a 2-channel amp with 12V trigger... (heck, I'll sell you my extra AudioSource AMP-100 if you need one)

What is it you are trying to do?

You have one AVR feeding audio to a second AVR? To do what?

Not understanding the slightly larger picture of the plan.

A Master Controller can certainly turn the AVRs on (via IR, via serial, via TCP, whatever).

There are Energy Saving [aka "Green" or "Smart"] POWER STRIP/Surge Suppressors that you could use. Plug the Pioneer into the "MASTER" Socket and the Denon into one of the "SLAVE" Sockets. When you turn the Pioneer ON/OFF, the "SLAVE" would also be turned ON/OFF. The fol. choices ALSO have very effective RFI/EMI Filters....there are also less expensive choices without this feature:
Anyone else plug their subwoofers into "smart plugs"?
PS: Hopefully Denon does NOT lose any Set-up Info upon Loss of Power......
