I have never seen XML strings for controlling one of these AVRs. Here are the command sets I have using to control mine. They are the same set for RS232 or IP control.

Soo. How do you put that on A webpage to simple change the output like the internal webgui or home-
Assistant

I found some XML-code that you send to IIt with ex. Curl post

<YAMAHA_AV cmd="PUT"><Zone_2>
<Input>
<Input_Sel>AV 2</Input_Sel>
</Input>
</Zone_2></YAMAHA_AV>

What are you using as a TCP client to connect to the AVR? The AVR has a built in web server that allows you to make these changes via their web browser or app, but I thought this was a closed system and only authenticated to their app.

For the control system I am using (Crestron) I have to run a TCP client to connect to the AVR via an TCP/IP connection.

I have never seen a way to control on of their AVRs via XML scripts.

There is some decent info in this thread from the Vera Forums.
