35th Anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Blu-ray

To coincide with the release of the 35th Anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Blu-ray, we wanted to send you some fantastic photos as well as a video from last night’s West Hollywood’s annual Halloween Parade, where the Guinness World Record was broken for having the largest group of people doing the Time Warp EVER!

The record was broke with 8,239 people - nearly doubling the previous record. The official certificate reads: The largest Time Warp dance was organized by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and the City of West Hollywood at the West Hollywood Annual Halloween Carnaval on October 31, 2010 on behalf of the 35th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show Blu-ray Disc release.

I still don't really understand how they can take something that was filmed, well, on film and make it HD. The quality might go up a smidge but I think it's mainly a scam.

This comes up from time to time: If it's filmed on 35mm then the effective resolution is much higher than the 1920 x 1080 you get from BluRay, so it's not a scam. It will be possible for future 4K formats to use the same film source and still not be using all the 'resolution' available from 35mm film.

Zooming: Been there, done that, bought the lens...

Going back to around...what...1990...I remember a girl I was dating was a HUGE Rocky Horror Picture Show fan. She wanted it for Christmas when it was first released (on VHS) and it cost me close to $100. I still cry thinking about it. LOL.

What paying the 100 or having to put up with watching it replayed 100 times?

iStorm, you've got to see it. I've lost track of the number of times I've watched it, and it gets better every time.

Really? You guys have never seen it? It's not for everyone, but you should at least see it. It's quite the spectacle.

For myself, I really love the music.
