A new mobile interface called ‘Pinch’ is being developed that lets multiple devices link their screens together to form a larger display.

Pinch is being developed by a research group at the Tokyo University of Technology. It gets its name from the fact that users make the pinch gesture on the screen of two mobile devices in order to link them. Currently the devices need to be linked via Wi-Fi. This is pretty cool technology that I can see being ported to other devices. Pretty cool, huh?

As cool as this sounds, these Kids will never jump on this feature as they love their tiny screens to watch blocker buster movies rolleyes.gif

I could really see this by having a front wall of multiple screens without any bezel around them then have an option of your configuration making it one giant, making four in the middle to one screen and the ones on the side show something else. Could do some really neat things here in a ht setting.......

or of course you could split the signals coming in and create this on the sending end and project on a screen smile.gif
