I am happy with it. I think it sounds very good with plenty of output for my awkward room. The thing that really impressed me is Auddyssey XT32. That made a huge difference from what I had before.

Looking sweet, Drew-glad you're digging XT32. I think it's the real deal as well.

So I am about to move into a new house and starting to plan my new setup. I have two choices on where to place everything. Neither one seems optimal in terms of sound quality, unfortunately.

Here are the pictures of the two living rooms and how the current owner has it configured.

I am thinking room number # 2 is my best bet but not sure. I am thinking of just putting it in front of the big window but it seems like I will be killing my view. Don't think it can all fit where their TV currently is on the wall. Not sure which placement will provide the best sound quality in an already compromised situation.

Hmmm...

Tough call, but nice looking place cool.gif. Is #2 more "enclosed" than #1?

Swapped in some Amperex 7308 pre-amp tubes into the WOO WA2. Very nice! Noticed better separation of instruments immediately. Slight improvement in other aspects. Need more time to listen.wink.gif

Having a dedicated space would really let you take advantage of that fantastic gear. Maybe there a bedroom/bonus room you could utilize?

Living Room
Samsung PN60F5300 | Denon DBP-1611 | Roku 3
Denon AVR-1713 | EMP E55Ti | EMP E56Ci | EMP E5Bi | BIC F-12

Computer
Topping TP23 | NHT SuperZero 2.0 | Velodyne DEQ-8R

I have since moved to a new house with a very open floor plan. The current room is a little better. The speakers are 18" out from the rear wall as B&W recommends. I do need to add a rug though. I ran Audyssey XT32 and it does help a lot.

Next addition will be B&W CM5s for surrounds and if I have a good rest of the year, a second F112.

If you guys have better ideas on placement, let me know.

I must say that I love tubes and what it has done for my 2 ch system. I swapped the rectifier tubes with some Brimar EZ80s into the Woo pre-amp. I am floored at times how good it all now sounds. The M-DAC, Woo pre-amp, Parasound amp, and KEF LS50 speakers have wonderful synergy! This system blows away my downstairs B&W, Oppo, Marantz system in terms of music.

Got a new sofa and chair that fit the room better. Installed the B&W plinths to the CM9s for a little more stability. Also spread the CM9s bit further apart for better sound stage. Re-ran the JL Audio A.R.O eq system along with Audyssey XT32 in the Marantz. Everything is sounding excellent however, I need surrounds really bad! Watching movies without them is not the same.
