looking good, make sure to keep an eye on your friend's drinks around that svs!

Also very nice job with cable management at your tv stand, I can't see a single wire in that first pic and your stand has no back!

Really good looking system. ^^Like everyone else said the wire managment is very well done.

BTW I have the older 60" 2000A model and I still have not replaced the bulb. It will be hitting 7000 hours soon and will be 3 years old thanksgiving time.

Enjoyed looking at your system.

Nice but a far from ideal setup. The open doorway behind the left speaker contrasts with the solid wall and corner at right speaker and is a cause of imbalance. In addition, the sub in the corner screams for EQ and I think I see a hard reflective coffee table peeking into one picture.

Hello Kal!

If it wasn't for you, we'd all be suffering from "Delusions of Grandeur!"
You truly have a way of delivering us from the abyss of self absorbtion!
But as always, you are correct in your observation.

drewTT, you do have a fine looking setup. I really like the HK 7550HD. without a doubt, their best AVR to date. My biggest concern is the AVR's ability to breathe! Having the DirectTV H20 on top of the HK is not conducive to proper ventilation. Although the HK does run cool, I'm sure your owner's manual specifies that your AVR ventilation slots should never be blocked. See page 24 of the owners manual.

Other than that, very nice set up!

Regards.

Nice equipment (and I'm jealous of how clean everything is!). But, I'm a bit nervous about the DirecTV box on top of the receiver. Heat dissipation is important for a receiver or any heat-generating component, so perhaps stacking isn't the best idea there.

The DVR doesn't get much breathing room either; it seems to have no overhead clearance. Would it do better where the Playstation is? But, is the Playstation a top-loading device? If not perhaps you could switch the two and get a bit of relief.

The stand fits the TV nicely, so replacing it would be a last resort.

Next update is imminent as I am looking to replace the Polks. I am considering a few options.

The most economical being the outgoing Kef iQ line that can be had at a good discount. Specifically, looking at the iQ90 towers for left and right, iQ60c for center, and iQ50 for rears.

The other option is B&W 600 line or maybe even the CM line.

Not quite sure yet but I am leaning heavily towards the Kefs.

If anybody is interested in my Polks, please PM me.

I love my CMs, but if I didn't have them then I am almost sure I would go KEF. Probably the only reason I didn't was because I never got to audition them. You really can't go wrong with either.

I would love to get the CM line but it is hard to ignore the good deals on the Kef iQ series. I think they both look incredible but can't decide if the CMs sound that much better for HT to consider the huge price difference.

Thanks. I got mine at almost 12.

Yes, it is a sub but I don't use it. It's a crappy old Harman Kardon HTIB sub. I just have it there in the corner to hide some of the wires that loop around the corner.

Picked up a SVS SB12-NSD from a super cool AVS member.

I am experimenting with it in the HT setup. I put it in the right front corner and it has added more midbass slam to the front stage, especially noticeable with music.

My HK receiver has two sub outs so that I can set them up individually. However, I think I do need the SMS-1 now though to dial it all in a bit better.

I am having a hard time trying to decide whether it's worth upgrading to the Kef IQ line. I am after a speaker with a better tweeter. After listening to my Energy's, the silk/composite tweeters in the Polks are not cutting it anymore.

I am looking for more of a spacious sound and that extra sparkle on the high end.

Just can't decide though....
