My neighbors are gonna hate me... Just bought the speakers last weekend: Paradigm Monitor series with a PDR-100 subwoofer. Had to take the sliding glass doors off my cheap Ikea cabinet because my Elite receiver is too long. Also had to remove the front of the top drawer to put the center channel in it, along with also removing the back as well once I realized I connected something wrong and it was too much trouble to pull the receiver out again and fix it. Not to mention the cabinet is bowing under the weight of everything. Obviously the cabinet will be by next upgrade, followed by a couch that is actually comfortable.

Looks nice!

Maybe if you took the legs off the cabinet it would have more strength.

No... More like $3000 I think. That's why I put the ~ in front of it. My estimate may be a little off.

I had that same IKEA cabinet, all it needs is a couple pieces of wood under the middle of it to give it the necessary stability. It couldn't handle my 42" TV plus DVDs & all of the equipment in it.

Its handling it for now. I'm currently shopping to buy a condo. When I buy a place, Im going to replace the ikea cabinet with something better. I know Salamander Designs. What other brands of cabinet come recommended?

hey I'm also interested in some quality furniture, interesting website you mention, but they don't have what I'm looking for... If you know of other places where they sell minimalist/modern furniture dedicated to home media, please tell me.
