Awesome setup! smile.gif

How do you like the surround speakers at ear-level? Do you ever wish they were higher or above ear-level?

They work great.
Do you ever wish they were higher or above ear-level?
Nope!

I am waiting for ATMOS and AURO 3D then I will install four of these high up B&W AM1 so I can have a 13.2 system or maybe buy a couple of pairs of 805Diamonds!

I already have two VOG over the seats behind acoustic fabric

Damn bro... I hate to think what I'd do just to watch ONE movie in there, but Zappa most likely covered it in some of his lyrics. LOL

Simply AMAZING!

Everytime I see those Diamonds I start reconsidering my kid's going to college.
I mean hey... my parents didn't pay for my college! LOL

This is what I've been saying to people for years. It's amazing how many folks recycling $70k vehicles every five years think a lifelong investment like yours is crazy. Only thing now is a dedicated theater?

Ok kids are done with legos and toys so I am transforming their play room with a mini HT. The room is 12 x 13 x 9 and it will have two seats only.

I am recycling some old video equipment:
- JVC RS2
- 96" 16:9 fixed screen

New audio equipment:

- 7 KEF LS 50
- 4 KEF KHT6000 on wall
- 2 Episode subs (got a deal I couldn't pass)

Now I need a receiver here is what I am considering:

- Pioneer SC-89
- Marantz SR 7009
- Yamaha RX-A3040
- Denon AVR-X5200W

Yes, now we're talking! From my point of view, too many aren't interested in using speakers of enough quality, but that's finally a speaker I could live with being used.

Now we just wait for you to hand four of them in the ceiling for Atmos.

Under construction: the Larch theater

That is one of the most impressive sound systems I've seen in quite some time. And in a tastefully done room too.

What is your prevalent style of music? IE: what do you most often listen to?

Panasonic 2013 55VT60
Marantz SR-5005 AVR
B&W 805 Speakers
Velodyne 15" Sub
TiVO Roamo OTA

- 96" 16:9 fixed screen

New audio equipment:

- 7 KEF LS 50
- 4 KEF KHT6000 on wall
- 2 Episode subs (got a deal I couldn't pass)

Now I need a receiver here is what I am considering:

- Pioneer SC-89
- Marantz SR 7009
- Yamaha RX-A3040
- Denon AVR-X5200W

Back in the70' my dad had Altec Lancing speakers and the big Yamaha with the Dual turn table. A $5000 system at the time.
So when it came time to me to get one, he told me to cut the grass of the 2 doctors next door. From there I bought a $100 system or so, and went on to up-grade and up-grade and ...

You have a wonderfull system, but never forgot the lesson in life to appreciate something, you have to work for it.
Just hoping your kids know how lucky they are!

But that decor........ is the most hideous looking room I have seen in my 32 years on this earth.
To each their own, I think it is well use space for a living room/home theater.
