My Budget Theater for a small apartment
Hey Ladies, thought I would post my budget rig for my apartment. The whole package had to be under 6000 including media storage, speaker stands, and TV unit. The oldest piece of equipment is the speakers and the xbox 360 - 2006. Everything else is newer or was an upgrade. Heres my equipment:
TV: Panasonic TC-P50ST50 50" Plasma TV
Receiver: Yamaha HTR-6260
Amp: Emotiva UPA-500, plus Imotiva trigger
Bluray: Sony BDR-S350
Speakers: Paradigm CT 110 5.1 Speaker System
Media streaming: WD Live
NAS: D-link DNS-320L Sharecenter NAS, 3TB Western Digital NAS Drive, not yet configured in RAID
Remote: Logitech Harmony 1
Gaming: Xbox 1, 360, Alienware gaming PC with sound card and 2.1 speaker system
Network: D-link 8 port unmanaged switch, router, Thompson modem, hooked up with network cables
Protection: Monster, Belkin Surge Protectors
Next upgrade will probably be the speakers but I may wait until I am in a bigger place. I would also have to probably spend 2500 plus to get significantly better sound. I am also in an apartment building that is strict about sound output, so my current speaker config works great. May not even upgrade to 4k. I currently have a 50" and couldn't go any bigger than that, I sit only 6 feet from my current TV. If I do buy one it will be in 3 plus years when all the specs and standardS are figured out. Also will probably have to upgrade the receiver at that point, for the newer version of HDMI.
