The main benefit is that you do not have to control the light in your viewing room as much as you do with front projection to get a good picture.

Gotta bump this, cause it's just nuts.

Is it solipsistic in here, or is it just me?

Yeah I concur with Billdo--that theater and the equipment that power it is spectacular. It's also unique in its rear-projection setup. Very interesting.

Good Lord does that look nice. I bet it sounds even better. You my friend are a lucky guy to take such nice pictures of such nice stuff (that you happen to own as well lol). I'm having a hard time remembering a theater on here that's impressed this much. Very well done.

Thanks smile.gif

They sound fantastic IMO. First time I heard them I knew I had to get them someday. After years of saving I could finally go for a full setup with Adam all the way. It will take years before I even think about replacing them wink.gif

I also put some pictures in the galleri for those of you who don't use facebook. Here you go: http://www.avsforum.com/gallery/album/view/id/2090371

But all the pic's from the construction - several hundreds - will be to much to upload here, so again: http://www.facebook.com/ThePurpleTheater smile.gif

Thanks!

Right now I sit in the HT listening to music. I play a lot of metal and now it's Amon Amarth and it's freaking awesome last album Surtur Rising. OMG it's fantastic!

I think when I made this thread several years ago posted in the wrong part of the forum. So I made a new thread here: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1417299/the-purple-theater

Moderator; hope I have done nothing wrong and this thread may be closed as the original HT is no more.

Nah it fits here. Well, as a construction thread yeah it might. I think there needs to be some combination of the two areas as they really overlap with each other.
