Congrats man, they look very strong!

Now heres the proverbial uestion, do you hear any difference?

Regards.

Hi LDG76, So, the new cables were more for the "coolness" than any attempt to improve the sound (although I swear it does seem to sound a little better). They are very well made, and a steal for the price. Plus I love that dark blue color, and I'm now absolutely certain my front speakers are getting all the juice they need....

They do look very substantial and very cool! As a matter of fact, they look more finished than my M-Series M1.4's. And they cost an 1/8th of what MC asks for the M1.4's. And I don't doubt that you are getting less resistance with the new cables, which could render cleaner sound. Who's to say? As long as you like them, that's all that matters.

Congrats.

Yeah, for the price I'm very happy! Your 1.4s are a nicer set no doubt.

Don't you get enough attention over at that other Bluray site.

I'm hoping you will have a great time during the holidays with your family.

Hello Croseiv.

It's good to be back home at the Forum. I like Blu-ray.com, but, I can only take it in doses. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun site to be on. It has a lot of eye candy (photos) as far as systems and setups go, but it lacks the substance. It's hard to put a finger on it. I don't want to sound smug, but AVSForum is where the heart is.

Did you see what happened to Waboman's thread? A straight up thread-jacking
in progress. I tried to intervene and get his thread back on topic, but there was just too many them! HA! Poor Waboman, he didn't know what hit him!

Hello Croseiv.

I'm back home! After a long vacation over at bluray.com, it was time to come home.

I have a question for you regarding the surrounds. Is the wife going to be happy with larger speakers!?! The Emotiva's are much larger than what you have currently. You know, the WAF is something that can't be ignored, especially being that your system is in the family room. I'm lucky, the cave is all mine! The girls need a password to enter the cave! And it changes on a daily basis! So I can pretty much do what I want down there!

Regards.

Hi LDG, Sorry for taking so long to get a reply here. I haven't been in the WYSC section for a while.

You are right, the Emo surrounds are a bit larger, but if I get them they will go where my present surrounds are and the present ones would be move to "back" duty. I would pull my couch forwards a bit and the backs would be about two feet behind. Still mulling this idea over though. Another potential project would be to build a DIY sub. THis is somethong I have always wanted to try, and 2010 just could be the year.

I wish I had a true "man room", but as far as it goes, my current configuration is what I get. It's fairly manly. It keeps me happy.

Hello My Friend!

You never have to apologize for not responding quickly. Besides, I owe you at least 15-20 mulligans!

Now about the DIY Sub......Why?!!!! You currently only have arguably the most imposing sub-combo on the site!

Regards,

I've always wanted to try a speaker DIY project. It seems a good sub would be a fun thing to build. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do actually. It's just getting off of my duff and doing it. We'll see what happens.
