These are a couple qwik pics of the signs I got made, I think they were like 13 or 17 bucks each, (but thats Canada for ya, everything is a ripofff here) They are 3/4 inch thick, they arent glossy, they turned out "OK" but I woulda thought it would have been better for the money.
That site I linked to in my other post isnt the same site as this thread, They have different styles and have color plaques.

They look OK, but I wish they were just a little more of a Glossy finish. I am eventually going to get some made at Costco also and see which one turns out better. I like the DTS plaques from the site I linked in my original post so thats what I will experiment on soon. smile.gif

Where did you link? I was trying to find it.

I've had various signs made and found different locations to do it. Each one has it's pros and cons...depending on what type of finish and look you want.

It's not the cheapest option but you can print them directly to the back of glass which would look great

http://www.fractureme.com

It would have a nice gloss and wouldnt scratch like plastic would.

Yes, you just click it and the file is downloaded as a zip file instead of right clicking and going "Save As"
Then you just go to the folder you downloaded it into and unzip it.

Thats a pretty cool idea simp1yamazn, I wonder how it would look, unfortunately it would be probably twice as expensive for me to get them done there, because I would either get screwed at the border for a ton of "fees" when they mail it to Canada, or I would have to drive over to Detroit and pick it up, gas money, bridge toll, plus dealing with US customs officers can be a PITA. (read: douchebags)
If I lived in the USA I would definitely give them a try though. smile.gif

mheadroom was kind enough to send me his original templates so that I can continue in his footsteps creating new signs. I haven't decided yet where to host the files permanently, but for now I'll put a few up on my photobucket account as I'm getting started.

My first attempt:

Be very careful where you put them.... I had some home automation templates on Mediafire that had some TV logos, and CBS ordered them all removed. I lost all my templates that I had spent many hours designing. When I tried to find out how my templates violated CBS trademark I had no response, and they had taken all my artwork even the ones without tv logos.

Denon 4520ci, (3) JBL 2360As/EV DHA-1s, (3) 1/4 Pie bass bins, MiniDSP 2x4s, (4) Klipsch HIPs, (2) Klipsch KP3002s, PS3, XBox 360, (3) Intel NUCs, Monoprice Redmere, Monster HTPS7000, 2 SUPER SPUD subs, Panasonic AE8000us SeymourAV 180 (195" diagonal) scope screen, Yamaha P7000s (for the subs), (2) Yamaha P2500s amps for the front (3) bass bins.

So tin studio is still open and he isn't making new ones? He will still host the old ones - correct?

Can you make any custom ones? I am thinking of naming my theater "Tropic Thunder" can you make a sign with that and a palm tree on each side or just use the Tropic Thunder movie logo - the logo with the words Tropic Thunder?
