Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a fan control/dimmer similar to the Lutron Maestro MA-LFQHW that can handle more than 1.0a. I just purchased a Hunter 60" fan for my general purpose media/great room and the fan is 2.35a.

Is it still possible to use the Lutron above or will that cause problems or be dangerous?

Here's a link...it won't let me insert it as I'm a new poster

Thanks,

John

It wouldn't be safe to use a 1A rated switch on a 2.4A fan.

Might not be the look you were going for, but Lutron has a 2.5A fan control and light switch in their Skylark line, Model #S2-LF.
