Hi, I'm in the search of a motorized projector lift for a JCV DLA HD250 projector and found this model from Focufix, selling through HTDepot.
Considering that well-regarded manufactures sell these system starting at $2.200, it is quite intriguing the Focupix priced on $999!! Maybe too good to be true??
Has anyone tried this system?
Your comments will be most welcome!
Regards
Jose

Hi, no, it was a frustrating business getting feedback from them.
I considered options from Draper (Micro Lift), Chief, Flatlift (thinline 100), and other brand I don't remember now. I settled for Draper Micro Lift. Superb customer support from them. and I"m extremely happy with my decision.
Micro Lift was one of the few which could handle RS40's size and weight. And most important, gave me the the minimum height when fully closed. The lift system was attached to a concrete ceiling and built a drywall structure around it to hide the lift and the projector when not in use.
Hope this helps
regards
Jose

Here is a link to another AVS thread regarding a member's quest for a "DIY" projector lift. I shared a link to a linear actuator company's web site & a design by one of their cutsomers.

I know it has been several years ago and I don't intend to give this answer to the OP, but having found this thread via Google trying to buy one of these lifts I have to say that we bought one and it is very good, I really don't understand why it would cost 2K. Highly recommend these lifts, only if I could find where to buy another one now!
