Warcam,

it looks like you like the "Berkline 13175" like design (that is pretty much what Octane Bolt is, but with the chaise). Have you check out the Lagoon-1011 from our line?

I definitely have, Roman. In fact, I've looked at all the Fusion models for some time now. Unfortunately, I've sat in chairs with similar seat dimensions to the Lagoon, and with my long legs, it felt like I was sitting on the edge of the seat. Or the bottom of the footrest would hit me behind the ankle.
The only reason I never invested in the Tangiers was because it wasn't chaise.

The Lagoon-1011 has actually a longer seat than Tangiers...

Ahh...I didn't realize that. I guess the reason I'm so fixated on the Octane's advertised seat dimensions is because it's the same as the Palliser Rhumba (which I have sat in) and it fit me like a glove Unfortunately, it doesn't fit my wallet.
I just like a chair that I can really sit back in and not have to worry about my feet hanging off the end. Your Escape's are the closest thing to having what I'm looking for. I know...I know...just buy the Escapes

The Octane Bolt is not what you are describing... Then nothing like Rhumba or our Escapes.

The Bolt and Rhumba both have identical seat dimensions: 22"H x 23"D x 25"W; 26"H armrest with a 42" seatback. That's what I was getting at. The Escapes, as I understand it, have similar seat dimensions. Obviously their designs are all different.

I know It has been a while, but things got delayed (sometimes they are out of your control), and just now the new stuff has been shipped.

"Will spill the beans" as soon as I get the photography - hopefully within a week or so.

Hey Roman, I bought some Berklines from you almost 2 years ago. Finally finished theater construction and opened them up last week, and one of the four backs doesn't match the others. Don't suppose there's any way to order a replacement?

Cryptic1911,

All our chairs and accessories including modular armrest, sofas, consoles are coming in the same full bonded leather and top grain leather/vinyl combo - both black and brown colors.

We are also offering custom colors as you can see here. The Tribute-1015 that is shown with the new console is in the custom color for a customer who is getting this set in about 4 weeks.

The dimensions for sofa and console are on my website, but here they are anyway:

Console: 32.75" D x 13" W x 26" H

Sofa: 83.75" W x 37.5" D x 42.5" H

Yes, the console is universal, and will work very well with any of our style groups.

Roman, should the chairs be pushed really tight together to support this? Mine flops a bit. Should the cushions squeeze up a bit and the more solid part in the chairs touch?

To support what? I are asking about the console?

No, it is a standalone unit and does not need to be supported.

Ordered and received a set of 3 Escape chairs in black leather/match. Everything has been great thus far and really enjoying the chairs. My only regret is that my room isnt wide enough for a 4th.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Roman was a pleasure to deal with, shipping was fast and set up a breeze.

Also want to thank everyone who has commented on these previously since I would not have known about these otherwise.

I have mixed opinions about my experience dealing with Roman at rtheaters.

I live 45 minutes away from the warehouse and paid a visit back in February. Clearly, I loved the Escape 1019's over the 1017s. I did like the lit cupholder feature of the 1019s, and despite Roman telling me it would be a distraction, as long as it can be turned off, problem solved.

Not everything has been great with my experience thus far...

I sent in payment for two Fusion 1019 chairs at the end of February.

It is now nearly two months later and I have no chairs.

Now, granted, Roman told me up front that due to the Chinese New Year the 1019 chairs would be delayed. The initial promise he made was the first week of April.

I was tempted to just buy the 1017 chairs, which were in stock, but Roman told me to hold on because I would only be waiting a few short weeks later for the better chairs.

Well, delivery promises dropped from the first week of April to mid-April. I was told last week that the seats would probably be here this week, but it's already Wednesday...and...well....nothing.

I am not going to sit here and bash Roman or rtheaters. To Roman's credit, communicating with him is very easy and he always responds promptly. I have no doubt that I am dealing with a reputable company based upon the many replies in this thread.

However, had I known I would be waiting weeks on end for the 1019 chairs to arrive when I was willing to take the 1017s, I would have done things differently. I shouldn't have been told that the wait would be short.

I just finished a home theater in my basement, but really have not had the chance to enjoy it, because I am sitting on a desk chair that is very uncomfortable. Nearly two months post payment and still waiting on chairs to arrive seems rather.....inconvenient. So, please excuse me for coming here and venting a bit when everyone else seems to have had a more positive experience.

Ron,

I apologize for the delay, but certain things are out of my control. If the factory postpones the shipment for one reason or another, or custom clearance takes a bit longer because of the fact that the PORT terminal is extremely busy, I cannot do anything about it.

Now, I never told you that the wait will be short, and I never tried to convince you to by one style group over another. You wanted Escape-1019s, and I told you that the individual recliners that you wanted were out of stock, and I am getting them with the next shipment. I always try to be conservative and never promise something I cannot deliver...

Saying all this the container was supposed to be delivered to our warehouse today, and you should have gotten a call from our warehouse to set up a delivery. They already have the order. Unfortunately the container was not released from the vessel yet. I do not know why, but as soon as it is delivered to the warehouse you will be getting a call to set up a delivery.

Again, my apologies for the delay, but I want to reassure you that you will be getting your chairs shortly.

Ron,

Here is an update for you, and here is what my shipping company is telling me:

<<
Vessel has arrived but is still not discharged yet, container is still on vessel, there is serious congestion at port,
We are keeping monitor this container once it's available we will notify warehouse for delivery.
>>

Now, if the container is delivered to our warehouse this week (probably Friday), we will potentially deliver the chairs to you on Friday, worth case scenario we will do it on the weekend.

Now, if the container is not delivered to the warehouse this week (which I hope it would be), you will definitely get your chairs next week.

Roman,

I appreciate the updates you have provided. As I mentioned, communicating with you has been exceptional. Whenever I send you an email or leave a voice message, your response is immediate.

I do want to clarify something so it doesn't make it seem like I am making something up...

We had a conversation. It was either by email or phone. It happened in late February, around the 23rd. You were giving me a 5-6 week window on the Fusion 1019 delivery (which would have brought it to the first week of April). I was going to go with the 1017s, as they were available for immediate delivery, but you suggested that if I just held out for a few short weeks I could have the chairs I really wanted. No, you didn't press the decision, but it was suggested that the wait time would be minimal if I waited a little longer.

However, I understand that delays do happen that are completely out of your control.

The fact that you were able to come into this thread and let me know the chair is actually in the arrival port and that there is a holdup in customs, is reassuring. Perhaps email updates would have prevented me from coming into this thread and prematurely venting --- but I am happy that this information has been provided.

When I said 5-6 weeks, I never said it would be exact time. It is always an estimate, and things may change.

On April 10th you sent me an email asking about the status, and I replied - "the container should be in the warehouse sometime next week", so I am not sure what kind of updates you were looking for.

Anyway, as I said you should have the chairs shortly.

Please be just a bit more patient.

For Lagoons, when putting two chairs that are in the "love seat" config (middle ones), how tight should I push them together? Right now I push only so that the leather cushions touch. Should I be pushing them tighter? I find they sag a bit there and if you put the arm rest in at that point, it can flop if pushed. Do I push until the black portion below where the leather ends, touches when pushed together?

There is is no rule.

If you put them too close that may cause leather squeaking.

If you put them to far apart, you will feel that the foam is compressing more in those area.

You need to experiment and find what works for you best.
