I'm working on a home theater build, but I don't know how I will I control all my IR, RF, Zwave devices from anywhere in my house with one universal remote. What do you do to accomplish your universal home theater remote?

Harmony One remote. Easy to program and even easier to use. I got my parents a Harmony 900 (same as the One but w/ rf) and they are able to easily control 2 zones from the main receiver. It is very straight forward for building macros through their software (watch movie / watch tv / listen to music / etc...).

I think that there will be some really "fun" tablet app based remotes coming in the future. I have not found something yet that I would prefer to what I currently have though.

I don't believe they all handle z-wave. I went with the 890 Pro. It's been discontinued.
