So I'm looking to get a hot butter dispenser and have been overly worried about the price in the past. Now that I see that there are cheaper options I was wondering if anyone had Tried Bechmark's 21011 unit or ever compared it with paragon's Prostyle.

Here's a quick rundown of the two

- - - - - - - Paragon PS - - - - Benchmark HB/TD
======================================
Size - - - - 1Qt - - - - - - - - 5Qt
Cost - - - - ~150 - - - - - - - ~399
Material - - SS - - - - - - - - - Plastic
Pump - - - 1oz Pump - - - - - -Free Flow Spicket
Heat - - - -Water Bath - - - - -Paddle Stirred

All of the Food contact parts on the Benchmark come off and go into the fridge for easy storage, Which is what drew us to it in the first place, as we only would use it on the weekend.

Paragon tech support says the new style Metal bowl will stand up in the fridge, with the pump as a lid (and be 10½" high) for storage similar to the Benchmark.

Has anyone tried the Benchmark?

Has any of the many AVS users that got the new SS Bowl for the Paragon, played with the idea of refrigeration?

Edit: apparently I'm bad at making tables sorry

I voted don't know. I haven't used both but I'm sure I wouldn't complain if I had either. This is what I used at my last theater party.

I wonder how much the Benchmark dispenser cost? I wonder how well it flows the butter?
The Benchmark you could use to put hot cheese on nachos or butter for the popcorn.

The benchmark is ~$420 while the Paragon is ~$150 from what I see in stores.
