Hi, I'm Doomie!

I'm new to this forum. My wife is eager to get comfortable seating for what will be our theater room. The issue we seem to have is, our room is 10ft x 10ft. Would someone please recommend comfortable 3-row seating for people in the 6ft, 250lb range?

Thanks in advance.

Are your numbers accurate? I don't think there's anyway to have 3 rows in a ten foot space, especially not recliners.

He means 3 seat row probably - plenty of choices for 3 chairs under 120" wide as long as you do not need to walk around the chairs...

I was referring to 3 seats per row.

And yes, I would need to walk around at least one side.

Would that limit me to 2 rows of 3 seats? And if so, what kind would be best/economical for heavier (200-260lbs) people in the 5ft 8in - 6ft 2in range?

So many companies; and ordering online, I would have to rely upon the experiences of others, with respect to comfort.

Again, thanks!

With such small room there is no way you can do more then one row of seats, and since you need at least one isle the space for the chairs comes down to 96". With your height and weight this search will narrow down t just a few choices...

I agree. More than 1 row is IMPOSSIBLE. I would buy a nice reclining couch.

Ouch! How big would the room have to be to have 2 rows?

Maybe I could just change the room I planned to use [the main basement area is 14' x 20', but the door leading to the backyard would be a big distraction, because of where it's placed!].

But assuming I stayed with the current sized room, how far away would the row of seats need to be for a 55" tv?

I would say that you need to be at least 6-7" away from the TV.

The 14x20 room is a completely different story - easy to do 2 rows of seats and much bigger screen...

The basement door can always be draped with heavy velvet curtains to control lighting.
