Anybody use them or have experience with them? I just started looking because of the Kmart theater seat thread and didn't see anyhting on the one's at Target. Seems Kmart doesn't carry theirs and people are starting to notice that the upholstery crumbles/falls apart.

So anyone try out the Target chairs? Aesthetically I think they look nice and the reviews all say good things......

I suppose the rule of thumb is you'll always get what you paid for. I'd check them out personally and see if the frame is metal or wood. If it is a wood frame - walk away.

I would stay away from fake leather (pleather?) and look for something in micro-fiber.

I have three of the K-mart chairs and am not having the crumbling issues that others have mentioned. I don't use the chairs daily, keep pets off them, etc. Actually, I protect them from the cats by covering them with chair covers intended to protect outdoor lawn furniture...

By the time K-mart had clearanced their chairs a few times (I kept up with the mark-downs and price-adjusted when possible), I ended up with my set of three for just about $300 inc. tax. If they do turn to dust eventually... I didn't pay much for them.

Roger Ebert--"This is one more pathetic example of the dumbing of America--to show the films in the wrong aspect ratio to placate the stupid, instead of in the right aspect ratio to reward the knowledgeable."

Thanks gents. I wouldn't be using mine daily and as Steven stated, at the price if they last 4-5 years I find it worth the $266 for a theater chair. And if I catch some coupons or something, well....I can't see losing.

Only real bad part about all this is that they don't carry the chairs in store.....I may have to be the guinea pig for the forum....
