My aunt is bedridden. She has a 36" flat screen TV on a dresser at the foot of her bed, which works fine.

We'd like her to be able to use the TV also as a computer monitor, but for that to work it needs to be closer to her face in order for her to be able to read the text.

I'm imagining something on wheels that can hold the TV over her bed that we can roll closer and farther - depending on if she is watching TV or using the TV as a computer monitor. She actually has neck problems, so it won't work to have the TV off to the side of the bed - it really needs to be in front of her.

Any ideas? It would be so great if she could have access to her computer while she is in bed. We tried giving her a laptop but that really didn't work for her (she's a dwarf and has short arms). She has a bluetooth keyboard that works for her, but the TV is just far away enough that she can't read it. I've tried messing with the settings, but if I make it big enough for her to read then she has to scroll so much it's barely usable.

I was going to suggest a mirror until you said that it needs to be a computer monitor too.

This is what I recommend:

It can slide easily right in front of her face, and you could get monitor with speakers.

You will need a 15" small monitor VESA 75 or 100 I am not sure, you can ask seller before you order.

We have these at the hospital and nursing homes I work at and patients love them.

Looks like it can also mount into a bed post.

With a Google Chomecast and an Android cell phone with a BT keyboard with trackpad she can have everything at her fingertips if you give her your Netfix, Amazon Prime, and Vudu credentials, I'd be careful about the last one though.
