I have installed Lutron MIR-600THW-WH 600-Watt Maestro IR Dimmer with Infrared Receiver switch long time back for controlling four recessed lights. The media room has hot spots near these lights. I was told it is due to non IC lights and there is no insulation.

What could be solution to replace these 4 lights but able to controller Lutron switch. Is it ok to change just LED bulbs or whole thing including can?

I am planning to add more insulation. While doing it, I want to put proper lights with insulation on top of it. Appreciate your help.

There are plenty of dimmable LED bulbs out there.

Thanks for the reply. I talked to Lutron long time back. I was told that the switch does not support dimmable. Not sure if things changed.
