hi, I'm slowly prepping for a home theater room to start in September. I noticed the costco home theater couches will have a discount in the month of June.
Never purchased home theater seats before.
Ive looked at some past threads, doesnt seem like anyone has mentioned these:
http://www.costco.ca/Cinema-II-4-pc.-Top-Grain-Leather-Home-Theatre-Seating.product.100110158.html

the rebate if i remember correctly was about 800$ off which brings it down to 2000$ roughly.

given my budget and location (Montreal, Canada) would this be good deal for what im getting?

whats the pros and cons of having these straight rather than curved? looks wise, i would have preferred curved.
also, i believe that their manual recliners.

lastly, sad part is i wont even be able to test them out beforehand, however i know that they have a very good return policy.

please let me know what you guys think.

I saw them here in the US. They are comfy and very well built.

That's a great price... I wouldn't have a problem pulling the trigger on getting them, but that's just MHO.

I wonder if you can remove one chair for a 3 seat config if your space is limited...?

Thanks. Unfortunately I'm not seeing this in the U.S. and costco.ca apparently does not ship to U.S.

ohYew812 - where did you see it in the states?

I would really like to order this

Did you happen to buy these? Curious to hear opinions on them.

Hey I saw these but held off for now as the theatre build will take some time and they will probably be on sale again eventually. I was curious about the "bonded" leather claim on the description...noticeable? Quality of the other leather.

Understand you have not used yet but if inspected then maybe you have some thoughts.

Thanks!

I have watched home theater seating come and go at Costco over the years. I can tell you that it is rare to see a particular model or price available for more than a few months. If you see something you like, buy it.

Disclaimer: I am part owner of Costco.

unfortunately I have not opened the boxes yet either, they are in a relatives warehouse for now.
but yes, as BIGmouthinDC suggests, you must buy when you see them. its funny though, sometime in September they went on sale again, but thats it for now, could be awhile again.

When you do get around to opening them, let us know. I'm progressing at a Logan-like pace, so you may beat me to it.

If it is like in the past few years, look for a shipment right after they clear the Christmas stuff out.

Costco has one problem that furniture stores do not. They assume that people will be careful with their carts around the un-boxed furniture on display. I saw a theater reliner set with some significant battle scars. That can be an opportunity to negotiate with the manager.
