High Resolution Question

All,

I have aquick question about picture quality.

I’m looking to get a projector w/a native 1080p resolution and a media player that says it's 1080p but, I think it also shows 720p. I can’t find a media player that claims to have a “native resolution”, so I’m assuming this is as close as I’m going to be able to get to a 1080p source.

I’m planning to connect the media player to 1TB hard drive that has 1080p resolution films. The connection between the hard drive and the media player is USB 2.0.

All of that back info to ask, would my film be displayed in 1080p quality w/it being transferred over a USB port to the media player?

I thank youguys in advance for your help,

if the files are 1080p, and the media player can handle 1080p and set to output 1080p, you will get 1080p

Displays: Samsung PN64F8500/JVC X35
AVR: Pioneer VSX-1018AH, 5.1 audio
Sources: HTPC(Mediabrowser), PS3, XBOX360, Wii, Sony DVP-CX995V
Control: Harmony One
