Tekspree MP-2740 LED Movie Poster Frame Light-box (2014) - More info!

Hey guys,
I was finally ready to sink some cash into the displays2go light-boxes for my home theater, and I randomly came across another unit which does not appear to have been mentioned here in the forum yet. It is the Tekspree MP-2740. It appeared to be a true 27X40, thin, light-box at a reasonable price. There is almost no information about it anywhere, so I went ahead a got one to check out.

Overall I am very happy with it - so much so, that I bought a second unit. I bought at a reduced price due to some cosmetic defects, and quite frankly I cant see the touchups on the frame (which appear to have been done in permanent black marker). I believe there are still scratched units available on their webpage and on eBay.

They are shipped double boxed and come with a power supply. Unlike the photo on their webpage, the power connection is at the back of the poster frame. Each of the 4 sides hinges open (they are spring-loaded) - you can then remove a polycarb sheet and place the poster in the frame. I have not seen a displays2go frame in person, but from what I can tell I would say the tekspree frames are slightly lower quality (FYI they are made in China).

The lighting is bright, and appears very even (at least on my Oblivion DS poster). There is a little light bleed-thru at the back, and at the seams in the corners.

Overall it is very impressive and adds a whole new dimension to movie posters.

Hopefully the pictures and dimensions will help someone out:

Overall dims: 29 1/2" X 42 7/16" X 1 1/8" thick
Visible poster area: 26 7/16" X 39 7/16"
Will fit up to: 28 1/2" X 41 1/2" (but only the visible area dimensions above are what show, once you "close" the frame)
Weighs about 20 lbs.

thanks for posting this, years ago I bought an identical frame, different name, but I lost the info and could never find a source, I like the skinny form factor and I did want another.
