Considering building a small snack bar in the back of The Royale, but have a few concerns. Hopefully one of you has been through this before.

I had one of the smallish size refrigerators when I was in college but can't remember how loud it was. Will it become a movie nusance.

Also it's not a big deal, but power useage, running a refrig 24hrs a day tends to use up some electriciciy, anyone know where I could find power consumption stats. Seems that the small refrigerators do not have the normal energy sticker, like the large ones.

Hi Jeff:

We have one in our theater "The Nate". At the closest sitting distence of 8 feet, we never heard it. We also kept it on a low setting so it was not on all the time. Just cool enough for cold pop.

Can't relly tell you about the power usage.

Doug - you only get warm beer if its a double feature? http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/wink.gif

In Europe the Electrolux brand makes "absorption" technology fridges and wine keepers - utterly silent although they use more watts/hour. There are also small fridges used in smaller yachts which might utilise this technology - worth looking into at a ship chandler for those of you into YT (Yacht Theater).
