The Costco, in Houston near the galleria has twenty three in stock (well now 21 as I bought two).

I called the store and asked for it by name and they did not find it, but when I asked by sku number they found it. # 668172

Will get name and model number next time I go to Target.

Good tip on the SKU #--I called one Costco (St. Louis Park, MN)--they said they couldn't look it up. I then called one in Burnsville--they said they had 10 available. Drove down and got 4. They were on an "end cap" in the X-masish area. They claim to hold 225 pounds--couldn't sit in it the way it was set up but it looks as advertised. Thanks for the direction. Good luck to all others hunting for this elusive item! (6 left at that store as of 10/29 at 1 pm).

The Costco in La Mesa, CA had several of the $69.99 chairs when I was in there yesterday!

OfficeMax has a similar product in today's ad. If you're on their website, it will not show up unless you search in their weekly ad itself.

Storage Chair Ottoman, Black

Item #: 23365225
Unit: EA
Price: Reg: $99. 99 $ 79.99 EA

Costco near me didn't have these, but the Officemax stores do (not available for online delivery but several local stores had them in-stock). I ordered 4 online for store pick-up ($99 with 20% off online coupon = $79) today.

http://www.officemax.com/office-furniture/accent-furniture/ottomans-benches/product-prod4300228

Picked them up and they really are the perfect overflow seating. The 4 I have will fit perfectly for kids sitting in front of my first row of seats, and I could easily also put 4 for adults around the sides of my theater seating. Now to contemplate if I want to buy 4 more...

Guess the 20% off coupon expired yesterday, the new coupon right on officemax.com front page is $30 off $200 (so 15% off basically per 2).

Hey guys just an update. I checked out a local Office Max for their chair/ottoman. It looks to be the exact same thing as the costco carson seat. Both are made by true innovations.

Any leads on this chair?

I really do want one of these, but cannot find them anywhere.

Amazon.com has a Ace Bayou Ace Bayou X-Rocker Storage Flip Video Game Chair with 2.1 Wired and Arms - Black / Grey
by X Rocker

I dont like the look nearly as much as the costco chairs, and I certainly dont need the speakers. They are currently $175 shipped.

Any leads?

People really don't understand the COSTCO business model, do they? This deal is now 2 years old.

COSTCO does a group buy on stuff like this. They generally have a furniture sale soon after Christmas and sometimes just after Labor Day. COSTCO makes arrangements with a manufacturer and does a single large purchase. When it is gone, it is gone forever. There is no restock commitment and you won't see anything similar for another year. What shows up the next year is dependent on what they were able to negotiate with the manufacturers.

You can generally figure there will be some sort of theater recliner set, but it won't be the same as last years choice. If you eventually want a set of 8, buy them now. If you can't do that, then COSTCO is not the correct answer for your needs. Go talk to Roman at rtheater.com or Ken over at stargate. They have more of a commitment to long term stock.

scratch Ken from your list if you don't take my word just read the BBB report.

Instead compare the offerings of HTmarket, specifically his own designs.

I was just at Costco this weekend and saw a two seat convertible "love seat" ottoman. It's True Innovations brand and the name is Skylar.
It was $149.

This link is the single seat version. The one I saw was a two-seat wide version.

Good find, but I am slightly concerned that this is not the same chair. All of the Walmart reviews say that it is too small for an adult, and complain about how small it is. It is made by Whalen. The lines are different from the true innovations chair; it looks more like the level up version from Target. If someone buys it, please report back!

There is one single chair available on amazon by true innovations.
If anyone just wants one, for $150 there you go.

Home Depot carries a $250 version of the chair but that is too expensive for my overflow seating.

I will try to check out Costco soon.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Every person is different, so don't simply go by reviews. Just look at product details and look up the Walmart Dimensions: 25.60"L x 25.60"W x 31.89"H. Sure it might not be the same company, but it's the same size if not bigger. Costco dimensions are 25.25″ W x 26.5″ D x 29.5″ H
