Costco Canada will have a version of the chair soon, Ill post more about it when it goes into stores. We are using this forum as leverage in negotiating a new purchase with them. Hope to update you guys soon.

Thanks

Well, I would be in at the right price. I would be interested in one. If it was relatively comfy, I'd be in for three more.

I found these chairs at a ridiculously high price.

Seems like the price of these just keeps getting higher and higher.

This month's HT magazine (a much slimmer version of the magazine I might add ) has the Salamander Design's take on this Ottoman. It starts at $899 (MSRP) and goes up from their. It also looks nowhere near as comfortable as the Costco one. Plus I understand it has limited storage.

$900 for an ottoman? Leather or not.... YIKES!

ChaseM - if you still check this thread.... You should figure out a way to sell "The Entertainer" on Amazon if you could find a reasonably priced way to ship them. I'm sure they would sell once word got out. I'd buy a couple of shipping was reasonable.

$900 for an ottoman?

Heck, I would buy one of these... hahahaha

Before I paid more for overflow seating, than I paid for my theater chairs.
Remember, we are talking overflow seating here.

has anyone been able to find overflow seating similar to the original "Entertainer Ottoman" listed at the beginning of this thread? That is exactly what I am looking for and I cannot find it anywhere on the net.

I've PM'ed ChaseM (who works for the company, see earlier pages) and haven't heard anything from him. Don't think we'll ever see these for $160 ever again.

You know, have any of you thought about getting actual theater seats for your rooms?
Seriously, before I would pay $900 for an ottoman, I would get one of these...

I am considering getting two pairs of seats like these for a total of four seats. I would mount them on a plate of some sort so I could move them out of the theater when not in use.
Has anyone thought about doing this, or better yet is anyone doing this right now??

because the one's at Costco were $160, not $900, and were seats, ottomans, and storage.

Perhaps they figured out that they were selling them to cheap and could command a more premium price for...
I am guessing we will see these again, only at a price more in the line of what you would see something with the home theater classification labeled to it.

It's entirely possible the manufacturer wanted more money, and Costco wasn't willing to up the price.

I'd buy one of these...

Before I would spend the amount of money they want for an ottoman.

Hey, look what Shad0019 found at BBB for $60 (over in the KMART thread).

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...9&BTSMode=true

Props to Shad0019. Problem is they are sold out online. Had no idea, but these would fit the bill as overflow seating quite nicely. For $60! How the hell did I miss these!!!!?????

I don't understand what these things are. So it's a tray / table / ottoman?

I like the looks of those too.... ! Only thing for me would be the thin arms, but for $75 I would be all over that I lived in CO.

Thanks for re-posting these in this thread. I bought two of them, being transferred now, and should have them in about a week.

Might use a couple of these as overflow seating. My carpet is pretty thick and comfy. If nothing else, these can be the kids seats

Hello,
Did anyone who purchsed these "groovy" chairs find a manufacture's name & model number while you were unpacking them ?

I emailed BBB & asked if they will be selling the chair again & if not, I asked for mfg contact info. I do appreciate them responding, dated 9/23/08 ...

"Thank you for your patience. This item was carried in limited stores and is currently marked down to$59.99. It is possible that we will carry it again, but at this time we are uncertain of the possible date. We are out of stock online, you may be able to get this item at your local store or the store may be able to transfer the item from another location. The width of the seating area is 18.5". We do apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. If you have any other questions feel free to email us or contact us at 1-800-462-3966.

Sincerely,

Angelica
