I created a tutorial for the Warner Bros. intro, that is to be found somewhere in this long thread.
I don't actually have After Affects and it costs $1000. I don't think I am prepared to spend that kind of money on a video editing program just yet! Is it possible to make a Dolby Digital intro in Blender (maybe like this one without the fire effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAu_2r77-Rg
) or a Pixar intro in blender. If you could make both I think I would like the Pixar one to be done first!
I'll take a look at it.
If it's only for making my intros, you can use the trial version of Adobe After Effects CS6 from the adobe website.
I have also been looking into using other editing software that is available for free.
When I download the Adobe After Effects Trial, it don't work with Adobe Download Assistant. Is there any way you can download it without Adobe Download Assistant?
Let me know!
P.S. What is the other video editing software that is free?
P.P.S. Thanks for taking a look at the Pixar and Dolby intros in Blender!!!!
I haven't tried it myself, so I can't help you there, but you should be able to use the Adobe Download Assistant.
I tried Adobe Download Assistant again but it says my login isn't valid. If you can make any of those intro's in blender I would be very greatful.
Well, you can just register for a new free Adobe ID, have your tried that?
Anyone know how to solve audio dropouts? I get audio but it seems like its dropping in and out.
It seems to be only the Adobe trailers.
I released some new template files for the Disney Pirates Of Caribbean Intro!
It might be a problem on playback. Did you use the right Codec? Try playing it with VLC Media Player.
I've released a new tutorial together with some template files for the intros at the beginning of Dreamworks Kung Fu Panda 1 and Kung Fu Panda 2.
Check it out:
I've released a new tutorial and the associated template files for the New Line Cinema intro. Enjoy!http://ballyweg.net/new-line.html
These are great! I'm finishing my theater room in the next few weeks and going to give your creations a try. Love the tutorials. Very clear and to the point. Thanks for the time and effort in compiling these.
My theatre has been running for a while and all of my guests love the intros I play before the movie. I usually play from a usb stick on an Oppo 83, with the intro first then the next file which is the movie plays.
Your tutorials are gold! Thanks so much for your work Ballyweg.
ps - Is the Universal 100 the newest Universal intro? It looks nice, hope you can do it. I've played around with Blender, but it's too complex for me to do original work on.
It has been a while since I've visited this thread. I'm VERY pleased to see the tutorials from Ballyweg! Thank you so much for sharing! Awesome.
I'm glad you like my tutorials. I have a poll on my website to see which tutorial I should do next, and this time, people voted for Dreamworks Megamind. So I released the template files and created a tutorial for the intros from both Dreamworks Megamind and Dreamworks How To Train Your Dragon.
Take a look at it here: http://ballyweg.net/dreamworks-mm-httyd.html
I have also created an After Effects Basic Intro Editing tutorial, but I guess most people here won't need that. Still, you can check it out on my YouTube channel here, if you want: http://www.youtube.com/Ballyweg
@Rozy63 Yes, I mean the new one. But progress is slow, it's a very complex intro...
I signed up for an account just to say thanks to you, Ballyweg!
You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it.
Here's my newest project:
Just stopping by to see how things are going here in the Blender Projects/Studio Themed Intros thread.
Balleyweg good to see that you are still active! Maybe it makes up for those of us that are not as active any more...
It seems I missed my last scheduled stop back in July of this year so I apologize but none the less, wish everyone a merry Christmas / Happy Holidays which ever applies to you...
Yeah, I try. It is hard to find the time. Here's one more new tutorial, this time for Legendary Pictures.
I hope you like it!
Ballyweg, you are my hero
Just found this thread. Can't wait to try it out. Will these templates work on Mac version of blender?
All the templates should work on Mac, according to feedback from my viewers. On some tutorials, For some intros, I have created special templates to ensure compatibility with Mac, but that mostly concerns the H.264 support.
I've finally found some time to make another tutorial. This time it's for the Ubisoft intro as seen in the beginning of most Ubisoft games. Have a look
Wow these are great! Wonderful work.
Is there anyone that has a tutorial on the new Marvel intro. I have seen some tutorials on the older (not 3D) intro. Looks like a fun one.
New tutorial for the Battlefield 4 Intro!
@Mattsshack, I might take a look at that one, but it looks quite hard to make.
Thank you for the reply. Yes it does look hard and I am a noob at this software. BTW Great trailers!
This was a difficult one to make. I hope you like it.
