I don't actually have After Affects and it costs $1000. I don't think I am prepared to spend that kind of money on a video editing program just yet! Is it possible to make a Dolby Digital intro in Blender (maybe like this one without the fire effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAu_2r77-Rg) or a Pixar intro in blender. If you could make both I think I would like the Pixar one to be done first!
These are great! I'm finishing my theater room in the next few weeks and going to give your creations a try. Love the tutorials. Very clear and to the point. Thanks for the time and effort in compiling these.
My theatre has been running for a while and all of my guests love the intros I play before the movie. I usually play from a usb stick on an Oppo 83, with the intro first then the next file which is the movie plays.
Your tutorials are gold! Thanks so much for your work Ballyweg.
ps - Is the Universal 100 the newest Universal intro? It looks nice, hope you can do it. I've played around with Blender, but it's too complex for me to do original work on.
I'm glad you like my tutorials. I have a poll on my website to see which tutorial I should do next, and this time, people voted for Dreamworks Megamind. So I released the template files and created a tutorial for the intros from both Dreamworks Megamind and Dreamworks How To Train Your Dragon.
I have also created an After Effects Basic Intro Editing tutorial, but I guess most people here won't need that. Still, you can check it out on my YouTube channel here, if you want: http://www.youtube.com/Ballyweg
@Rozy63 Yes, I mean the new one. But progress is slow, it's a very complex intro...
All the templates should work on Mac, according to feedback from my viewers. On some tutorials, For some intros, I have created special templates to ensure compatibility with Mac, but that mostly concerns the H.264 support.
