Not sure if you're still working on this software? But I noticed that the loop slides until (time) is not working anymore. Hope to see an update soon really like the software.

Just downloaded this for the first time today! Skimmed through the whole thread. I would definitely like to see:

1. Randomly play x number of trailers
2. Be able to pull files from subfolders (those of us that have hundreds, or thousands, of trivia slides would see the need for this!)
3. The 'play slideshow for x minutes' option would be nice, but the clock option is handy too
4. Transition options for the slideshow would be amazing (fade, slide, etc)
5. More video filetype support (.avi etc. since WMP is being used now, shouldn't any video it can play be supported?)

I also ran into the bug where it says no files are loaded unless you manually add something, then clear it back out or switch back to the folder mode. Figured it out before I found the posts on it though

Slight nitpick, when making a custom arrangement, every time the + is clicked on, the file browser resets to the root of the drive. It'd be nice if it'd remember where my stuff is so I don't have to browse every time.

Love the program so far. Items 1 and 2 being fixed would warrant a donation Thank for your time put in on this!

More video file support would be nice I just download trailers off of itunes and use em. Demolandia.net has some nice dts dolby intros too. I've never been able to get the end slideshow at this time feature to work :/

Great program overall though

No subwoofer I've heard has been able to produce the bass I've experienced in the Corps!

Must..stop...buying...every bluray release...

I can't get the trailers to play. What format do they need to be in? They are all .mov files

Yes, .mov files should play fine. MyPreMovie uses Windows Media Player 12 to play the .mov files. Do they play fine in just Media Player?

Is there a way to change it to use MPC HC?

What do you mean? Play a different file type or call MPC HC at the end of the premovie show?

I mean instead of using WMP12 to play the trailers is it possible to use another media player?

No, MyPreMovie is designed to run on a Windows 7 HTPC and only uses WMP12 for ease of video and audio playing since it is built into the OS.

Here is another reason: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/Vista64.html

The MPC HC you mentioned has all kinds of functions missing for 64-bit OSes. I've looked at possibly using VideoLAN, but it didn't fit nicely with .NET and I didn't have much time to work on it (it would have taken hours!)

Does WMP 12 not work properly for you?

Went to download MyPreMovie and I can't find the original anywhere (google search included).
Looks like you killed even all of the old directories on your server, as I get 404 errors when I tried to find it that way (using google).

I see that the new version is set to come out soon. Looking forward to trying it out.
Any update on a timeline for release? Also, it's great to see you are involving your two sons in the process!

Just went live with version 2.0!!!

It's home theater software that enables you to run slide shows with optional sound in the background, play HD trailers, and then kick off a program of your choice. Give it a try! smile.gif

Oh, it's Windows based, too. rolleyes.gif

Tried out v2.0... I'm not seeing what's changed, besides the new logo.

Still no support for "play X number of random trailers" or reading subfolders for slides
The bug where you can't play slides by folder without first making a custom arrangement remains
The "loop slides until (time)" function still doesn't work

I'm also now having an issue where the task bar remains on top of the slideshow, that didn't occur in v1.0.

I saw where the trailer selection now supports more filetypes, but the program won't see .avi files I try to point it to.

I'm a sad panda frown.gif

We'll look into these bugs. We definitely want you to be a happy panda. smile.gif

One of the main new features is the ability to open and save multiple .mypremovie files, more video file support, and an Update checker feature.

The program doesn't play actual movies, only trailers. It has a part where you can have it launch your movie playing software, however, so your current software can be used.
