Sony A1E OLED

Anyone find this display for sale on one of the "less-than-reputable" sites that can be used for the price protections available on certain credit cards?

It is cheaper than that from reputable sellers now.

BB would only match if store within 25 miles of my residence. Unfortunately, closest store is in Dallas/Fort Worth.

I don't know what he was thinking. However, he didn't say he wasn't a veteran, or not legally eligible, only that he was able to use the exchange site. Put your guns away Ethics Marshall.

I have raised the concern with Best Buy he is not eligible to purchase from the site I find the behavior to be offensive. You are free to think whatever you want . I personally think it's wrong but not surprised no one else does. that's the way things are these days. I won't be making any more comments have a great day .

What?.... Ok man.... I don't see a difference when people get their price-match checks from phony companies ....so don't ruin it for everyone else.
Even if I was never in the military it's not like I bought from the exchange. Didn't know you had stock on BB and are looking out for them

They have put a note in their corporate systems and said that your price match was granted in error. I served 23 years to gain my eligibility so to me you took advantage of the system . but hey if you think it's okay committing fraud have at it .

Hahaha... you're so full of it.
Did you call Chase and Citi and tell them how people use bait and switch websites to price match too..
You should go to your nearest PX and follow the people that buy in bulk to sell it on FB later.
I guess I shouldn't tell you that I got a Denon X4300 AVR and the calibration for $1500 also .... don't hate.....

No YOU don't get it. If I would of price matched to Costco would you have called Costco and BB too?
You're making it a big deal than it is.

And yes I've been enlisted and an officer and both AD and Reserves. But it has nothing to do since I bought from freaking Best Buy!!
If you have any other questions you can PM me so we can discuss it farther ...

Does anyone see the 65 inch getting down to $4000 between now and November? I'm not really familiar of the pricing trends with these higher end sets.

I'm almost positive by a November it will go below that. I'm waiting for this myself... I expect it to be 3k between Black Friday and SB Sunday.

I am waiting also , but 3k sounds like a pipe dream. Maybe next spring when new models are announced you will see some 3500.00 sets. I am even doubting that. I will not pay 5500.00 that's a given.
Once we see 4k .....I'll be in. 3k ..............in Nov-Dec.......I'll buy two. (seriously)

The LG 65 B6 started off at $6k in June 2016. By Nov 24, it bottomed out at 2800 sales price. That's a 3200 reduction at Amazon.

The A1E started at 6500 then quickly dropped to 5500. You can buy that under 5000 now at a certain store in the SF Bay Area. 3K by Black Friday is almost a certain. TV's drop by at least 50% by that time, each and every year (unadvertised non-MSRP price that is). I can buy a LG C7 now sub 3500 at the same authorized brick and mortar store. I just have to show up and negotiate.

I will probably pull the trigger on the LG instead if it's substantially (1K) lower than the A1E by November.

This could come true, IF Sony hasn't sold out of them. Don't forget, this was a test year with Sony, with limited number of supply from LG. Not saying it will sell out, but we really don't know yet.

So we've pretty much established that LG doesn't care where you buy your TV and will honor the manufacturer warranty even if purchased from an unauthorized dealer.

Is Sony more strict? Would buying from Cleveland sacrifice the warranty for a Sony?

Sony isn't LG - the main difference. Z9 for all intents and purposes didn't drop like a rock. I never take initial pricing as gospel. Whatever they start them off at is MSRP in this case 5499.00. They inflate the price then people will accept the high initial offering easier. (my guess)

I hope you are right. I also doubt they sell out at 5499.00 ea. or even 5k. Sony is usually not a huge discounter. I agree the price drops when new sets arrive with bigger better models in tow. But, not before that.....
LG makes a lot of panels they obviously have much higher margins. Now Panasonic jumps in that might -(might) spark a little price war.

Sony 65x930D started at 5k, dropped to 3k, then 2k by November. It's a game and every manufacturer plays them.

If the A1E is limited stock like the Z9D, then perhaps it doesn't drop that much. I'll be happy to purchase the C7 instead. I went to Frys and watched both displays next to each other. I couldn't tell the difference as hey both looked fantastic. To be honest, I'm leaning toward the C7 right now due to its superior input lag, better OS, and better remote. There isn't a $1500 difference between the two in my eyes.

Then why does LG specifically list you as an "Unauthorized LG TV Dealer" and state that you are "not authorized to sell LG products" on their website

My guess is that the 65" Z9D will be $4,500 & the A1E will be $4,999 (and maybe bundled w/a UHD Blu-ray player) in December at major retailers like Best Buy & Crutchfield, offering returns; and priced much lower at so-called unauthorized online dealers. Currently, you can get a new 65" Z9D for approx. $4,500 "all-in" online & CP has a very solid price as well. I'm sure that the 65x930E will be $2K by December as well.

I can understand the 65 inch being around $5k, but why is the 77 inch supposed to be around $15k? Seems a little out of proportion.
