Sorry for all the questions but am so very close to going for it also.
Hi,

I order the C7 from Echo & Optics then I saw this deal. Originally I was hoping to cancel my order, which I requested but honestly I think it's too good to be true.

Last night 74 sold now 94 sold and very little feedback regarding TV sales. Most of the sales are cologne....

Anyone have feedback from E&O? I was hoping to call them today but was not expecting to get through, will try tomorrow at 10AM EST. Paid $2900 for C7

Yeh, my thoughts entirely Mike, thanks. Think I'll wait it out a bit longer and see what happens.

Anyone else have any joy?

I'm ready to pull the trigger on an E7 but will also wait this one out until I see some feedback from actual recipients. Of course it may be too late then, but the fallback plan is to wait until Late September or even until Black Friday.

FINALLY! I made my seventh (7) call to Chase this AM and finally got results on my PP claim. To review, I purchased a 65C7P from Cleveland Plasma back in June using my Chase Freedom card. I filed a price-protection claim on July 15 using EbuyUSA, which was advertising about $700 cheaper at the time. There is an on-line site where you can check on the progress of your claim and it kept showing that they were "waiting on documents" or something.

I eventually made my first call to Chase on Aug. 7. Some clerk pulled up my claim and read that they were trying to contact ME but no one answered, which was bull****. She claimed it should be resolved by the "end of the day". After a couple of more calls they changed their tune that they were trying to contact Cleveland Plasma to determine if they had their own in-house price-matching policy and to make sure I hadn't returned the TV for a refund. I then called Chris at CP and he said he talks to Chase all the time on PP claims and that he had not received any calls regarding my claim. He suggested I do a three-way call with Chase the next time I called them.

This morning I followed Chris' advice and called Chase and did the three-way call. CP answered the call promptly and confirmed that they do not do after-the-sale price protection and that I had not returned my TV. We all hung up and within an hour I got an email confirmation that my $500 check was in the mail.

The lesson here... If there's a hold up be sure to ask to talk with a "Claims Examiner". The people that answer the calls only look at the printed progress report and can't really do anything for you.

Are you talking about them getting down to $1,500 from reputable dealers? Or do you mean they'll be higher from reputable dealers, but then do a price match at CliffsDeals / EbuyUSA / TVSuperstores, etc.? Thanks.

I got my money from a Citi PP claim on a Cleveland Plasma purchase not too long ago. Definitely call them if you haven't heard in a week or two. I waited a month to check in only to find that they also wanted a copy of my billing statement with the charge on it to process the claim. Had a check within two weeks after I sent that in.

This.

If the '25% below 65C6P' trend holds throughout the year and through all channels, that should mean that:

'Official' discounted pricing at Best Buy, Amazon etc reaches $2100 (75% of $2800).

Reputable online dealers such as CP should offer pricing of under $1850 (75% of the $2450 price of 65C6P last November).

The Cliffsdeals/ECTV price should be under $1500 (75% of the $1950 price of the 65C6P from last November).

November is a good month in general, but the deepest offficial discounts are often offered just Black Friday week or also the following week.

If you look at the camelcamel data, you see those two weeks where the 65C6P briefly got down to $2800 in mainstream channels: https://camelcamelcamel.com/LG-Elect...uct/B01CDDU0Q0

I would also add they haven't tried to up-sell me on anything, either prior to shipping or when they had me on the phone above. I paypal'd them the $2599 and that was that. I will update when the set is received.

I had a call from E&O today, nice guy as well - offered to cancel and refund the transaction. I liked his tons of feedback but was really having a hard time thinking about the 2599 deal. I hope it works well for you. PLEASE UPDATE US.

In the end I OK'd the E&O deal, got a FedEx tracking today, delivery FRIDAY!!!!! I use a set of Corsair speakers so I don't need the sound bar, I don't know if Picture on Glass is a real thing but I'm not hanging the TV Flat on the wall anyway just regular wall mount

Damn,

now i feel sorry for buying the C6 for 1600 (after PP) and not waiting for C7 - although in the future it might be problematic to use PP with those sites ...

There have been few reports about Chase refusing PP against tvsuperstores ... funny enough, few days after mine was approved

Not surprising,

TVSuperStores has the E7P at 1900$$$$$$$ -- Talk about too good to be true.

ECTV has the C7P at 2479 listed on their website, that's 420 less than most eBay.

One thing that I did make sure to ask with E&O was if it would be able to register on LG for warranty.

I'll wait for Friday for it to come and try to see. Is there a thread about purchases and reports from each "off-market" dealer

Gotcha. Do you know whether if you try to price match against one store, say TVSuperstores, and that gets declined, can you then try again against a different store, such as CliffsDeals, EbuyUSA, etc.? Or, do you only get one attempt? I currently use Chase (both Freedom and Sapphire). Thanks.

This may be a silly question but if buying from ebay is it safer to pay via PayPal than using a credit card as that seems to be the way most buyers are paying for these televisions (I may be wrong)? Does PayPal offer even more protection than a credit card as I have both options to use?

Paypal will freeze the funds in the event of a dispute.
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mp...y-and-security

However EBay also assists with buyer protection
http://pages.ebay.com/ebay-money-back-guarantee/

I would suggest that credit card price protection plus the EBay protection is sufficient.

The HDMI cables left South Florida today(no Hurricane jokes), the TV was transferred to the shipper in New Jersey Tuesday and they said 7 business days average so I am expecting a call early next week from the shipper and delivery mid-week.

I ordered a OLED55E7P from firstclasstvs via eBay as well (much like Cooters). The HDMI cable shipped promptly and I am waiting on a call from the shipper for delivery. Will certainly update here with my experience. The price was too good to pass up so I made the move, I'm usually not one who has purchased TVs from eBay (always an authorized dealer) so we'll see how this pans out. With eBay + PP/CC protection I am not too worried plus many have successfully ordered from them before.
