The Sportsman's Channel HD, Fox Soccer HD and Fox Soccer Plus HD are rapidly penetrating systems.

In addition, Discovery Kids HD, DIY Network HD and Game 2 HD are now on the Bakersfield systems.

I need to finally get the channels update for Ken so he can change the first post.

Nope.

I keep track of all the 7 systems for the chart stuck at the top of this forum.

Time Warner does Brighthouse's deals and there is no movement there and i doubt we here anything on any discussions until next August.

Bright House bows ESPN's 3-D in Fla. Markets

By Mike Robuck

Bright House Networks started offering 3-D content from ESPN yesterday in its Florida markets.

In September, Bright House Networks and Time Warner Cable struck a wide-ranging deal with Disney that included 3-D and TV Everywhere content. Last month, Time Warner Cable started serving up 3-D from ESPN in some of its markets for an additional $10 per month to its digital subscribers.

Bright House Networks subscribers in the Tampa Bay and central Florida systems, the latter of which includes Orlando, need to subscribe to the cable operator's 3-D Pass tier to access the programming. The cost of the 3-D tier is $10 per month and includes a converter box from Bright House.

Bright House Networks subscribers have access to 85 live 3-D events from ESPN, including NBA games, the 2011 BCS National Championship game, some NCAA football and basketball games, and the Winter and Summer X Games.

ESPN 3-D is the first channel on Bright House Networks' 3-D tier, but more programming is in the works.

ESPN 3-D is available in the United States to approximately 45 million households, and the sports network has carriage agreements with AT&T U-Verse, Comcast and DirecTV. In addition to this week's launch with Bright House Networks, ESPN 3-D is slated to launch next year with Verizon.

It's nice to see progress but I'm not a 3-D guy.

I'm just glad I will not have to pay for the 3-D.

In Orlando, they have two part-time 3-D channels for special events but they only pop a few days before those events take place.

Bright House Customers,

I am an Orlando customer and I contribute to the Bright House section.

In addition, it might be time to finally get this thread going as our system has the most HD channels available to us.

What I'm trying to do is find some people who have Bright House in the following areas.

Bakersfield
Birmingham
Indianapolis
Michigan
Panhandle of Florida.

I know a lot of people with Orlando and Tampa Bay but it would be great if we can get more info and discussion going on this thread.

Please let me know if you have Bright House on any of the above systems.

Thanks!

It's been reported in the local Detroit forum that BH added CBET-DT CBC HD (which just flash cut from analog 9 to digital 9-1 around midnight) to it's lineup on channel 209.

Ken,

Are those Canadian channels? Also, are they OTA re-transmitted?

CBET (RF9, Virtual 9.1) is Windsor, Ontario's CBC affiliate (right across the river from Detroit). BHN probably gets this OTA (there is a VHF yagi at their head-end building's tower pointing in their general direction) but I don't know that for sure.

I figured they were Canadian.

It would be nice to get more of a Bright House discussion going here but it seems most of the Bright House people are from Orlando.

I'm hoping next week TWC/BHN will announce an NFL Network deal and I think it will happen late next week.

Ken H: What does your gut say about a deal getting done and have you heard anything?

There isn't much discussion re BHN on the Detroit thread. I guess that makes sense since around here (NW Detroit Suburbs) BHN is a small island surrounded by the vast sea of Comcast.

I've been lurking in the BHN Orlando threads lately, since you folks seem to get things before we do, with some exceptions (we have TWC in HD, including 'Local on the 8s' cut-ins, and Florida doesn't if I'm reading things right).

I too await news re NFLN. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Bright House Adds NESN National To Its Lineup in Indianapolis

With Recent Rollouts in Birmingham, Bakersfield, Service Now Available Throughout MSO's Footprint

Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 3/29/2012 7:46:20 AM

Bright House Networks has completed the rollout of NESN National across its footprint.
The cable operator on March 28 added NESN National, the national television service of New England Sports Network that presents ancillary programming surrounding the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins, to its Indianapolis system. That follows recent bows in Birmingham, Ala. and Bakersfield, Calif. With the service now positioned on Bright House's Sports Pass package, NESN National is now available to 238,000 of the MSO's customers in those three DMAs.
NESN National is available in standard-definition in Indianapolis on channel 409 and in the high-definition format on 410.
In Bakersfield, NESN National is available in standard and HD channels 137 and 1137. In Birminighman, it's positioned on 436 and 477.
Bright House Networks launched NESN National in the Tampa Bay and Central Florida (Orlando) areas and in Detroit back in 2010.
"Bright House Networks' launch of NESN National across the country reinforces the value of NESN as an out-of-market service to sports and digital tier subscribers," said Sean McGrail, NESN president and CEO, in a statement. "We're thrilled with their continued support of both NESN National and the overall concept."
Throughout the year, Bright House Sports Pass subscribers can watch NESN's Bruins and Red Sox pre and post-game shows, as well as Bruins replays and classic games; NESN Daily, a live sports news program; minor league baseball; college hockey and basketball; and many of the network's Original NESN Entertainment productions.

Live telecasts of Red Sox and Bruins games, Red Sox replays or classic games, and certain other programs will not be available on NESN National due to league restrictions. When these programs are airing on NESN in New England, Bright House Networks customers will see other programming, most notably same day delivery of The Dennis & Callahan Morning Show
