I wouldn't have been disappointed if she didn't make it past the first season or two... I really dislike her character or more accurately, how it's written.

I finally decided to watch the last half of this week's episode a couple of days ago. I find it as wearing and off-putting as ever but have decided nevertheless to stick with the show to its bitter end.

Katy Sagal is a good actress and in my estimation has done a great job of portraying the monstrous Gemma. Sagal's disadvantage is that Gemma becomes harder to take all the time. Of course, so does Jax, so there's that.

I couldn't stop watching this show now, I'm totally invested. I do like Peg Bundy better then Gemma and its smart to make this the last season, its run its course.

These are just my opinions.

Anyone think she may enjoy (a bit too much) how her character kisses everyone ?

Me, too. I'll see it out. Given that we know things aren't going to end well, it will be easier to accept the new order being put down as opposed to them being killed after starting Charming's new Meals on Wheels service. I'm also waiting for Jax to find out the truth.

If Jax learns that his mother killed Tara he might go all out Oedipus.

Call me foolish, call me irresponsible, but, despite the badness, I always thought Gemma (and Katy) are HOT. One thing this show has always done that is kinda unique is daring to cast "older" characters and make them just as cool and part of the action as the younger crowd. Even Unser is cool. But maybe it's because I just turned 60

I've not come this far to quit now that we are on the "downhill" slope ..

I also believe Sagal does a good job, of course with the caveat that playing an out and out villain is one of the easier parts in any production .. my beef is her role becoming, IMO, the lead over the last couple seasons ..

The prominent place Gemma has had in the plots during the last couple of seasons hasn't bothered me at all. She strikes me as the Sons of Anarchy's Lady Macbeth.

I think the most believable ending should have been last season when Gemma killed Tara. The show could have had all sorts of ways to end the series. This year isn't working and it's run out of material.

These are just my opinions.
