Somehow I doubt that. Maybe the play, but not the movie. The first movie was made in 1965.... I saw it then and that was 48 years ago... wink.gif

You are both right
Ten Little Indians (1965) is the second film version of Agatha Christie's detective novel of the same name. Although its background story is the same as the 1945 adaptation (And Then There Were None)

And Then There Were None is a 1945 film adaptation of Agatha Christie's best-selling mystery novel of the same name.

Right. The 1939 book title was Ten Little N(word), phrase used in a nursery rhyme. The rhyme ended with "and then there were none", which was used for the 1945 film title.

What if the dream was accurate in that while there is only ONE real RJ, the rest of them are RJ minions? The discussion at CBI might support this, or it might be a bunch of false leads. rolleyes.gif

When did Grace move in with Wayne?? Over the summer recess?

Abundant OTA television is what makes this country different from all others. Lets keep it this way. If you like Wi-Fi so much, OTA fits right in. After all, it is wireless.

I started watching this show in it's second season I think, and it's always given me the vibe that Red John is an organization (once you have minions, you're an organization, not a person)...now it seems as though I'm at least partially right in my assumption--there is an organization. Doesn't make much sense to have an organization of high and low level law enforcement employees running around killing people and leaving behind bloody smiley faces, or covering up for one man's psychopathic behavior, so I'm missing something. I'm just afraid it will have one of those Fight Club reveals, and Jane will be Red John--or a Dollhouse type reveal and Lisbon will be Red John.

No way it will end that way! Or so I hope. I think this series has been written so well this far that they won't ruin it.

Of course, I thought Medium would end well too, but it was the worst series ending episode ever.

Damn the person I thought was RJ is dead... now what?

It could be CBI director, since I don't think the FBI fat dude is RJ, Stiles is too old, Sheriff is not afraid of heights, etc.

That would suck big time! Fortunately, CBS doesn't seem to have as quick a hook as other networks.

Dreadful ratings? Good news, hopefully this means that the showrunners are well on their way to completing a final storyline (Red John) arc. Seems like every episode now has a significant Red John story component. Maybe CBS has given them the word that this will be their final season and they have written this season accordingly. While I still like and follow the show, it's time to end it.

Mourning the disappearing usage of the -ly suffix. Words being cut-off before they've had a chance to fully form, left incomplete, with their shoelaces untied and their zippers undone. If I quote your post (or post in your thread) without comment, please check your zipper.

I'm a native Californian of over 70 years. I wish once that when they identify themselves as CBI agents that the person(s) would ask "what is CBI?

I've known that the state attorney general had investigative and lab facilities, that are often called upon by our local counties, but until this show I had never heard the term CBI.

Pretty sure that happened once or twice early in the series, first season probably.

Kinda like NCIS. CBI (now simply BI) and NCIS both exist but no one has ever heard of them until TV....

One problem with "Who is Red John?" is that some on the list are his minions, so it weakens the whole storyline.

I still think Partridge is not dead. There was no discussion of exactly how he died, what was done to the body, autopsy, etc. They just dropped it. His minions in law enforcement filed the paperwork that he was dead.

I'm sticking with "Ten Little Indians"

I've always been of the belief that they would not reveal Red John until they knew they were ending the show.

Does anyone know if this is the last season? If not, then I'm betting that we still do not find out who it is.

Bet it is, what are there 5 or 6 names left on the list, how many weeks left in the year

According to IMDb, there are 5 titled episodes left, but that would make the season only 9 episodes long.

Interesting note, you know how every episode title has had a red theme to it? Well the last titled episode is actually called "My Blue Heaven". What that means as far as the show goes is anyone's guess.

I'll take a shot that is Red John got his, if they would like the show move forward there needs a new story line, How about Lisbon and Jane start a romance, thought not, no chemistry, and with that, no show.
I liked it a lot but it may be time.

I for one think this show is character driven and could do quite well without the Red John storyline.

I don't think Patrick overcoming/losing his obsession with Red John would hurt the show much.

I'll even take it a step further and say that an unburdened Jane could be better. They could really play on his fun/mischievous side.

Good idea, but I think if thats the case then there is a real need for a new top cop that Jane and she have a lot of tension between them and at the same time she also take a very protective stance, like Chuck/Castle.

... I suggest not reading that link if you want to keep it a mystery as to whether or not certain characters might be "biting the dust" this season at the hands of the Red John plot. Not so much the linked story (which talks about a new character or two coming on board) but other stories linked within this article are what reveal perhaps too much for some viewers taste. It was to too tempting for me not to click upon those links. Now I probably know too much of what lies ahead.

PS: looks like The Mentalist won't be leaving us at the end of this season after all.
