I come to HDNet Movies to get the really good stuff, the "Blade Runner", "Lawrence of Arabia", "Bonnie & Clyde", etc. The average flicks, I'm not going to waste my time on in any format. So, in that light, it would be nice to see some basic descriptions of the plotlines for these movies in these kinds of threads (and it's good to see which awards they were nominated for/won; that's helpful too). It would make it easier to decide which of these old films are really worthy of a couple of hours of our time.

I was probably the last person to watch "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind". Watched it last night - what a great movie.

dneily,
I'm not the webmaster for our site, but I just contacted him so we can coordinate when our highlights and monthly schedules get posted. I'm not sure why the February schedule would be taken down (or why it was up so early in the first place, for that matter), but we want to do what we can to get you from reading about HDNet Movies to watching HDNet Movies.

Thanks to sirjonsnow for posting a (seemingly hidden) link to our complete February schedule.
We encourage you guys to check out our website to find out more information not just on our highlighted movies, but on all of the movies we will play this month.
There maybe some all-time greats that do not appear on this list for a variety of reasons and we wouldn't want you guys to miss out on anything because you're only looking at this forum.
Check out:
http://www.hdnetmovies.com/ and click on our "complete movie list" link, which shows a rolling 30 days worth of titles.

Thanks for the feedback. It only makes us better, which makes you happier, which makes us happier--everyone wins.

The original Airplane (not #2) was originally scheduled to show on 1/1 at 3:30pm and then pulled. Why?

Overall, Feb seems to be a weak month for titles with only around 30 titles having not been shown in the past few months by my count.

With the rise of many new HD subs, it would be nicer to see some bigger titles that aired over the past 2 years that haven't been shown since.

If we (or any other site) listed Airplane! as playing on January 1, then that was simply a mistake. Sorry for any confusion--but if it is any consolation, we will be playing Airplane! in the future.

It was on www.hd.net in the 30 day schedule for several weeks (say Dec 1-15th) showing the airing on 1/1/2009.

At least you gave me an honest answer.

Thanks.
