As good as this show was the first season, and I had been waiting for the second, It just gets better each week! Classic episode last night.

I see in the credits Vida Guerra is in this. Didn't see her unless she's posing as the stund double for the butt scene. (my fav by the way. )

huh?

I was wondering how much of the show is improvised, then I saw a clip on YouTube that must be from the season one DVD. It starts with a long take of Kenny, Stevie and Clegg in a bar and Stevie's telling his most embarrassing story. Then halfway through, the director starts giving them ideas to build on. It's real interesting to see if you haven't. ( and funny as hell )

A real dark episode this week... And a lot of funny moments, too.

Brilliant casting of Don Johnson as Kenny's dad. Watch out, April, Kenny's "coming to get you."!

Nice touc h using Katy Mixon's name in credits even though we only heard her voice. This show really takes some twists and turns. Inspired casting using Johnson for pop powers. Hope this show keeps going and going.

To me this show is:

1.) One of the best comedies on TV today. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather watch Eastbound and Down over Modern Family any day of the week. 2.5 Men doesn't even belong in the discussion.

and

2.) Easily, hands down, the most underrated comedy on TV today.

I can't believe how far under the radar this show is especially since it is on HBO and is produced by Will Ferell amongst others. Danny McBride deserves a lot of credit for making Kenny Powers watchable. The rest of the cast is good too.

Wow! I just finished my second viewing of Sundays ep. and I have to say it was one of the best 1/2 hours of TV I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Oh, and I would never have said this at the beginning of the season, but I am going to miss Mexico.

no comments on the finale? i thought it was great...along with the entire season 2. i'll admit, i had my doubts after ep 1, but i grew to really like him in Mexico as well...especially when Stevie showed up...that character is just really funny to me...i think they use him perfectly...not overdone at all.

anyway, they need to expand it to 10 eps or 12 for season 3 (assuming it comes back)...it deserves at least that many.

EXCLUSIVE: HBO has renewed sophomore comedies Bored to Death and Eastbound & Down for a third season. With drama Boardwalk Empire already picked up for Season 2, HBO has now renewed its entire current Sunday lineup.

The second season debut of Eastbound & Down averaged 1.7 million viewers, up 150% from the show's series premiere, while Bored to Death's season premiere audience was more modest, 1.1 million, despite following Boardwalk Empire. The shows have remained relatively steady in the ratings, averaging 1 million viewers (Bored) and 1.44 million (Eastbound) this past Sunday, in addition to garnering critical praise for their sophomore seasons.

Bored was created by Jonathan Ames and stars Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis. Eastbound was created by Danny McBride, Jody Hill and Ben Best and stars McBride.

Love this show. It is coming back!

I thought it was a good finale and good season too, the whole Mexico excursion overall was hilarious.

But as to # of eps, yeah it was lame to only have 7 episodes. That was really short, even by HBO standards. Season 1 had 6, but that made sense since it was a trial run. When it was picked up, season 2 deserved 10-12, but only got 7? Makes no sense. Future seasons must be 10-12, at least.

+1

My mom works for Sony, and she brought home a copy of "Starhawk BETA"
I quickly slipped it into my trusty PS3, and started playing.

Yep, phenomenal season, a real step up from Season 1 (which was pretty good itself) IMO. That village in Mexico was a perfect setting.

I thought the previous episode was better but the finale was still great. I started out being disappointed with Kenny's antics. I kept thinking to myself, "Kenny, stop being so much of a douche now". By the credits, however, I had a big' ol smile on my face. It was good to see the Shelby crew again. ...especially April! I don't think I've ever been so taken by the pregnant form. Cutler and Clegg were hilarious. ..."Hello stalker".

Oh, it's good to see the strong ratings and third season pick-up but it's going to be a long, long, long wait until next fall. ...more episodes please!

I thought this was a 12 episode season. When they returned to NC, I thought the main story line was finally starting. Standing on the lunch table at Jefferson Davis Middle. Then it was over!

Thank you HBO and Comcast for having this on on demand. HIGHlarious stuff. New season starts sometime in Feb. 12

I realize it's an old thread, but a new season is right around the corner.

I would give the strangest comedy on TV mantle to "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret." This show is almost perfectly sane by comparison.

I saw one of the producers comments about this show. To paraphrase, he said they have fans that "get" the comedy for the ridiculousness of it, and fans that think they are Kenny Powers. He said the latter group scares him.

Awesome show. Glad I caught it. But you gotta watch every episode from both seasons or you'll have no idea what is going on.

But yes, E&D is great this season.

Don Johnson and now Lily Tomlin. That is simply too much excellence for one show.

Surprised Kenny didn't burn down the club when he started shooting off fireworks. Lily Tomlin as mom is inspired casting, but cant see her and don johnson getting together and coming up with danny mcbride. Still it should be fun.
