I've noticed over the years they've been getting sloppier with their myth busting. I think at this point it's more about explosions/action/gratuitous shots of Kari then scientifically busting myths.

I've thought that for years. The younger crew always looks very eager to blow something up.

I was actually kinda interested in all the myths this episode. I did kinda feel bad for Kari as she looked like an awful driver, but they kept showing her two slide outs over and over and over again to make it look like she did it on every lap. I have raced that track in some video game before and I can tell you that blind corner is a bitch.

True... although I try not to think about it in general.

Washing with hot water does nothing to kill germs on your hands. It can never be hot enough without burning you since it would have to be pretty much at the boiling point for enough time to kill the germs. Any water temperature you could actually put you hands in without second degree burns will only make the germs wet.

As long as you use soap and wash for the proper amount of time, cold water is just as effective as any hot water you could safely put you hands under.

I have a growing mental list of people I will never shake hands with after having seen them walk out of the restroom without washing their hands. Not washing your hands after using the toilet is like making everyone you shake hands with later give you a hand job.

As frequently happens with this show, I wish they would take some of their effects budget and audit a freshman level statistics course somewhere. Argh.

It's impressive stuff, but we don't really need a whole redundant show on it.

Worst ep they've ever done IMO. Just awful, and pointless, but we know why they did it. Even Rooker seemed to be bored of the whole idea.

Only Mythbusters ep I've ever deleted halfway through, and I've seen them all.

Nah, our sense of humor is fine. It was a braindead episode, both literally and figuratively.

Worst episode! I don't think you can tap someone on the skull with an axe and break through the bone. You have to swing hard and the axe could get stuck too. If you have a gun you can also shoot sooner and not wait until they are in the circle. Did not like the episode one bit.

I haven't watched a single episode of The Walking Dead, but good job categorizing people. #whatever annoying Twatter (sic) hashtag counters a flame suit

I agree with many here - that was a TERRIBLE episode.

The only way Grant, Keri, and Tory escaped was by running to the far outside of the zombie area -- which by doing so greatly reduced the numbers of zombies in range that could get to them.

Mythbusters is going way downhill now, and if they keep up this stupid Twitter feed in the show I'm done with it.

I enjoy any chance they are on regardless of if their mythbusting sucks or not. They are entertaining and I'll always like seeing them especially Kari.

IOW, who cares about science, as long as there's sex appeal. rolleyes.gif

It was the science that (used to) distinguish this show from others. Anyone can produce a show with babes.

We don't have to, that's their job. The point here is that they are selling out the entire concept for ridiculous tie-ins and are getting away from the science that made it what it is. Then they top that off by taking up even more screen space (after logos and snipes) with a stupid Twitter feed.

Eventually all you'll see is a postage stamp of the show, everything else will be overlays. Sadly it's not just Mythbusters that is starting to do this now.

Agreed about the tie ins. The "jump the shark" moment for this show for me was their 60 minute commercial for Seth Rogen's godawful Green Hornet movie.
