It was not your imagination, it was much brighter and to me looked better.

I think some (all?) of the new studio's earlier shows were brighter however Friday's looked fine (to me). I actually thought at the time the earlier ones came across as daytime... and yes I know it's indoors. :)

Did a check tonight and the video levels are the same as Friday.

It's not super dark though it could be a bit brighter.

Anne Heche did a movie called That's what she said? That's gonna be horrible...

Jennifer Carpenter was on and then Micheal C. Hall.

Lighting looks better.

Edit: Who's the Ann Hathaway lookin chick Craig has on dancing lately?? Pretty cute.

She's a supposed CBS exec monitoring Craig. Her interactions with Craig are pretty funny.

Pssst: She started out as the voice of "Sarah, the Rino (made out of kittens)." They finally let the cat out of the bag on last Friday's credits. You didn't think she was actually a "CBS Exec" did you? wink.gif

I have been wondering how long they will go with her... of late Craig has settled into the studio and the shows have been very good. And as Ethan stated Craig can dance!

Show seems to be evolving:

Guest performances shot as part of the show instead of as separate segments that can be spliced into any episode. (CF is visible during the performance, and comes over to greet the performers at the end.)

More guests from other CBS shows, and more conversation with guests about whatever they're there to promote (rather than the former overt contempt for the whole idea of guests promoting things).

The end of the "Big Cash Prize" and all the other "out of time" bits, although the fruit basket is starting to become a bit itself.

The frequent omission of "What did we learn on the show tonight, Craig?"

Secretariat turning into a character that interacts and responds.

More on-camera appearances (aside from Geoff) by Josh Robert Thompson (as Schwarzennegger, for example), although maybe this isn't new and I just wasn't paying attention.

I suspect that the idea for the "CBS Executive" may have been a response to pressure from the network to incorporate some of the more conventional talk-show tropes such as promoting network shows and asking guests about their projects. Although they already seem to be backing away from the original premise.

They walk a fine line between being an actual network late-night talk show and being a parody of one. Part of the fun is trying to figure out when they're doing parody and when they're just being silly.

I was wondering if she would be back with the new shows (after the recent repeats). I halfway expected her to be gone... her bit has run its course. Any chance they are using her as the warm-up comedian? If so, I guess it would be easy to keep her around for the show. Since they replaced the quarters with nickles (or fruit) I'm guessing they are trying to save every dime they can.

Anyone catch comic Nina Conti on Friday's night show? I thought she was fantastic and really fit the show's vibe. The video jumps to her bit.

Sarah mentioned something about having alcohol backstage. She also mentioned having her kid there. Hope the show provided a limo for her if she was drinking.

Based on her tweets, she's done.

I'm not surprised. they never really came up with anything for her that wasn't peripheral. If they did more skits, it'd be different.
