Episode order?

Anyone know the correct episode order? I just watched Defectors - no idea why it had to be postponed after the Paris attacks - and I have Long Goodbye recorded from last week. But next week's Internal Affairs sounds like it should be next up?

Epguides has switched them around to the incorrect air date order...

I there an episode next week? They announced previews then did not show any, usual indicator that the next few weeks are reruns. Hope it's not like Castle and coming back in Feb....

My mistake - Epguides shows Internal Affairs on 7Dec.

Wikipedia shows the incorrect ep order, but it also lists production codes and their order has Long Goodbye after Internal Affairs, so I'll wait and watch them in that order.

I still think scrambling them was ridiculous - Defectors wasn't even about an attack, just mixed-up schoolgirls running off to join the cause.

What's worse... reversing the order like this takes any potential risk out of the Internal Affairs episode... since you know that Deeks is going to be OK because you've already seen the episode originally slated to air AFTER that story and they didn't even mention anything in the episode that seemed off about the team as a result.

Granted, Deeks probably was going to be safe anyway... but sometimes shows surprise you and get rid of a character mid-season... but now you know any risk Deeks is in, he absolutely will be out of it by the end of that same episode.

You can watch them in the broadcast order and not miss anything. The episode they subbed in is entirely stand alone.

You knew they weren't going to get rid of him before the episode order switcharoo. NCIS: LA isn't like The Walking Dead.

You didn't really know that. Shows like this (especially its parent show NCIS) have killed off main characters in surprising fashion... multiple times on NCIS too. So, they could have had a setup like Deeks was really going to be in trouble... but any suspense they wanted to setup with that cliffhanger is completely gone.

Did you forget that they killed off Kensi's first partner, Dom? The show is not above killing off important characters.

Who was that Russian? Was that G Callen's father? I was having a hard time following the dialog. Apparently, Callen has a fully Russian name.

They never said for sure, but that is certainly what they were implying. It's television though, so it could be another misdirect.

Same here, though it's starting to get tiresome trying to work around Ruah's pregnancies. It's hardly inspired, but the chemistry is decent, which is more than I can say for the original NCIS these days. The show never strays far from its proven formula, which I think helps it avoid the plot inconsistencies and irrational character behavior that plague so many shows...

It is absolutely Callen's father. That was panned out in an earlier episode when Callen was in Russia. The proof was in the pudding when Callen told his father that he was a grandfather and his father told him he was an uncle....

Thanks, but my question was posted after last seasons episode in Russia; I couldn't understand all of the dialog between Callen and the older Russian man.

Of course, by now, the question has been fully answered in the recent episode this season.

NCIS is a dull rinse and repeat... I dunno how it's still on the air... LA I guess it's the cast and that it's a bit different albeit unrealistic at times, but that's why I liked Castle too.

It's a stretch to work in a Navy angle every week but it usually has a decent mix of action and character without taking itself too seriously. I'm starting to like Hawaii five-0 for the same reasons. Castle IMO had very imaginative and humorous writing despite the annoying on-again-off-again romance the writers had to work around...

I just started watching HI50 this year - I like the cast. Gotham is the only new show from the last 3 seasons I'm still watching, so I have some slack in my schedule...

Haven't seen Gotham, no desire for it. My two new shows I binge watch are Luke Cage and You're the Worst.

Gotham has a pretty good and deep cast, plus great guest appearances like BD Wong, Paul Reubens, Carol Kane. It had problems early on but improved drastically...

I too find NCIS: LA to be the most enjoyable show of the trilogy right now. I look forward to watching it most, and am most apt to watch it on its night of broadcast whereas I tend to let the others sit on the DVR a bit.

I was wondering about Ruah... IF there were real-life complications, multiple pregnancies across seasons, or what... because they put her out of action on the show by dropping a plane on her, having her in a coma, and now partially paralyzed... all of which implies she might be hospital bound the duration of the season and possibly into next season, unless they pull a miracle recovery out of their hat. Just seems like a more convoluted story than usual to explain why she couldn't be part of the action.

Dragging it out like this is detrimental to the show so I assume there must be a good reason for it. Maybe she can't do the action stuff any more and they're reworking her role, and maybe her relationship with Deeks?

BTW I must have missed something - one week she couldn't stand up on her own but apparently had no trouble gripping a walker, then she was walking fine but couldn't user her hand?

You weren't the only one! I guess we can chalk it up to "TV time".

I'm guessing "tv time" too. That was quite an abrupt "warp" forward... I'm not sure about you guys, but like dexter and true blood (and the grand tour...) this show also needed to hire a big fat elephant because every time it's her and eric it's really awkward... She's married to his brother in real life. Lol...

And if I remember right "Deeks" brother does a lot of his stunt work. Remember a couple of weeks ago he had a SEAL buddy that had a boat they needed when Callen was kidnapped,I believe that was his brother as well, the facial features were close enough for it to be him.

Speaking of Hetty, Linda Hunt doesn't look much different than she appeared in 1984's Dune. Well done girl.

2017 is following in 2016's footsteps

Miguel Ferrer, ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Actor, Dies at 61
By Pat Sapterstein Variety - Jan. 19, 2017

Miguel Ferrer, character and voice actor who appeared in shows including “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Crossing Jordan” and films including “RoboCop” and “Iron Man 3,” died Thursday of cancer. He was 61.

Ferrer was the son of top 1950s singer Rosemary Clooney and actor Jose Ferrer and first cousin to George Clooney. He appeared on “NCIS: Los Angeles” for seven seasons.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” showrunner R. Scott Gemmill said in a statement, “Today, NCIS: Los Angeles lost a beloved family member. Miguel was a man of tremendous talent who had a powerful dramatic presence on screen, a wicked sense of humor, and a huge heart.”

He also appeared on the original “Twin Peaks” and will reprise his role as FBI pathologist Albert Rosenfield in the upcoming “Twin Peaks” reboot.

His TV roles included “Shannon’s Deal,” “Broken Badges,” “Crossing Jordan,” “Bionic Woman” and “Desperate Housewives.” He also provided voices for films, TV shows and videogames including “Mulan,” “Superman: The Animated Series,” “Robot Chicken,” the “Halo 3” videogame, “American Dad!,” and “The Spectacular Spider-Man.”

Born in Santa Monica, Calif., he started out as a studio musician, touring with his mother and Bing Crosby and recording with Keith Moon of The Who, before moving into television and film.

Among his early appearances were playing his father’s younger self on “Magnum P.I.” and playing an Excelsior helm officer in “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.” In “Robocop,” he played corporate executive and villain Bob Morton, a type he would return to frequently in roles such as an engineer in “DeepStar Six,” in “Hot Shots! Part Deux,” in mini-series “The Stand” and as a drug informant in “Traffic.”

He is survived by his wife, Lori, sons Lukas and Rafi and several brothers and sisters.
