At this point the show cannot introduce a love interest for Neal that will not end in failure or tragedy. That would mean adding a new regular character and I cannot see that happening.

Pity USA constantly hammered away at a twist in all the previews and commercials because as soon as Rebecca was unconvincingly kidnapped I figured she was in on it. Did not see the Dutchman taking a bullet so that's twice this season a fatality on the show has come out of the blue for me.

Now I guess we follow the treasure trail and see what reason the show can come up with to keep Peter in NYC. Maybe Neal's father will make a return. I was half hoping he would be the assassin who killed Hagan.

Well, they found a reason for Peter to stay in NY. And the opening plot line for season 6.

I hope it gets renewed.

As much as I like the show and enjoy a good treasure hunt I don't think there is much life left in the show after another season. The reason Neal's freedom was turned down didn't make much sense. The FBI could easily have made a deal with him in that his anklet is removed and he becomes an ordinary citizen as long as he remains a consultant for the FBI for the duration of his sentence. Then he just becomes an official employee like everyone else, works on cases to keep the arrest record high and gets to go where he wants to when not working. It would have been good for the story potential if that had happened too, since Neal would have the entire city to stumble into crimes or just hijinks on vacation.

I think having Thiessen moving to Washington is either a way to write her character out of the series or to open up some new locations for cases at the National Gallery. Given how little she has to do usually, either could be an option.

Yep, the wife and I both think the show has played itself out. I think they're writing her out of the show, personally.

Personally, and I've been hoping for this for a while, I wish she would go the route of another former White Collar castmate (Alexandra Daddario) and show the goods like Daddario did recently on True Detective. wink.gif

The main reason to watch the show has been Tiffany Amber Thiessen, and Mozzie's antics.. BTW, is it me or is she pregnant again, or hitting the wall, or maybe it's the new hair style. If they write her out, HMMMM...

It looks like the sixth season will be the last and only six episodes long, which is a weird arrangement.

Like a con man in a museum casing the building for priceless artifacts, the final season snuck up on me.

Last six episodes start next Thursday

I would have much preferred they waited until January, still too much sampling going on for me right now.

This last 6 could be good. Either way, Neal's going for the BIG score.

I forgot Neal had been kidnapped and basically forgot the show was still on the air until it was about to return, I also forgot this is a fun show and the cast still have great chemistry.

The "Pink Panthers" was a cool choice for a final criminal gang name. I'm betting Neal's either bargaining for Mozzie's slate to be wiped clean or when the show goes out he will have turned in all the gang members and set himself up as the new leader of a new group of Pink Panthers.

I figure Neal is rob to rob the Pink Panthers for his last score.

Yup, possibly the most successful thieves in history.

Wow. This week USA managed to have product placement for two products simultaneously! I can't remember such blatant shilling on television. Made even more ludicrous that we had to sit through the convoluted sequence only to have Peter say "they are on the move, we can't use photographs" and making it absolutely pointless.

Enjoyable episode otherwise, with a surprising slap in the face when Amy turned down the offer even though the plan worked. I liked her, I hope she comes back to give Caffrey a love interest in the finale.

It's either her, Sara or Alex.

Or Mozzie.

Really enjoying this final run of eps, will be sad to see this series end. Yeah it's been played out to some extent but the show is done so well, we're going to miss it.

Only one episode left. I have no idea what Neal's plan is but I'm happy that I can't see it coming. Hard to tell if he's going to go on the run or take the straight and narrow.

That was a fitting series finale. Keller gets one to the head. Neal pulls off his greatest con. I'm happy with it and will miss White Collar. I'd love to see some movies following up but that'll never happen.

I too thought the series finale was terrific. Leave it to Neal to devise an exit plan so slick and devious, it even fooled his friends -- for a while. I thought the scene in which Keller met his end was a bit abrupt and unconvincing but that's a mere quibble compared to how terrific the rest of the finale was. Anyway, it was rewarding to see the evil Keller finally get his just deserts. A lot of us will miss White Collar.

Yup a great finale. Although I feel a bit sorry for Mozzie but I guess 23 million is not too bad a consolation price for him in the end.

It feels strange not having this show around anymore. With TNT's Leverage gone as well I don't know what other show is out there to fill the gap

Honestly I'm kind of baffled why the director chose to show Neal testing the bullet penetration before the end reveal. All those great scenes with Peter and Mozzie after Neal was pronounced dead lost a lot of impact because I was just waiting for Neal to resurface.

The show rarely knew what to do with Diane and Jones and some of the arcs made little sense but it had an excellent core of Neal, Peter and Mozzie who were all equally matched in their own ways. I'm going to miss the banter, the cool moves and slick capers.

One more fun show gone from USA.

Jeff Eastin discusses the originally planned ending: http://tvline.com/2014/12/18/white-c...ernate-ending/

One thing I missed was the presence of the playing card in the lockup was an indicator that Mozzie was on his way to Paris. I just thought it was Neal's calling card.

^^ Yeah I thought the same thing too. I can't believe there are no more caper shows out there. I've really missed Leverage and I'm guessing I'll be missing White Collar too unless something else is on the horizon. I hope there is.
One of my other Favorite Shows "Covert Affairs" ended its run last night as well
