Yeah, unfortunately Ms. Oink loves 'em.

I thought next week's preview gave too much away...

Agreed.

If it was anyone else, Raylan probably would have pulled the trigger.
Right now he has sympathy for her situation and believes she is getting screwed in a lose/lose game controlled by others.

Thumbs down Not Enough

I'm only venting. Just watched latest episode last night. I purchased a season's pass for this final year. At the
beginning of the episode the elapsed time on the bottom of the screen was 39:59. I need a lot more Raylen, Ava
and Boyd for the week. I feel better all ready.

Also agree that most of the money will be blanks. Avery gave it up waaaay too easy.

Didn't know that Dillahunt was not going to be available for the whole season. Sort of explains the [relatively] clumsy way they got rid of him. Nice that Avery has a rolodex full of gun-thugs he can call when the need arises. We should start a poll: who's going to get to kill Boon?

Surprised that Mikey gave up his boss like that, after so many years of loyalty. Guess there is honor among thieves! Besides, it sets up a juicy scene between Duffy and Katherine as he tries to weasel his way out of it as only he can.

Bet he will be Raylan's last Justified.

Perhaps he saw his time of having steady employment with Duffy winding down and was hoping he could hitch up with the Katherine/Avery Gang?

My guess is they will put a bullet in him at the first opportunity....
Can't have someone around who will give up his boss.

Yes this is a great show but I hope FX is got some new shows in the pipeline. Now that Justified coming to an end they don't have any fire power. Justified is going to be missed. FX has done a great job and hope they can replace it and start with a new show with same interest.

These are just my opinions.

If she wants to only wound Boyd, then he may come back after her and the Marshals can get her for attempted murder plus other charges. If she killed him, she'd have a murder 1 plus a few others, too. I wouldn't want Boyd and crew tracking me down. Raylan would be relieved Boyd was finally put down but would he go after Ava? I said it because the event was surprisingly unexpected making me expect the worst. The story line won't suffer leaving Boyd for the Marshals so I suppose you're right.

Mikey and Carl had to go.
Because they weren't "starring" characters, by the rules of television, they leave first.

Didn't see Katherine's death, but there are only so many episodes left and the dying has to commence.
Although I think this was a little too convenient, especially since Avery said he would give her Duffy's head in a box as a wedding gift.
Whatever....

I don't particularly understand why Eva is still hanging out in Harlan County....unless she and Boyd have a super secret plan (in spite of the illogic of that being the case).
However, there was other silly plot points as well.

I did not see that? I saw his hands around her neck, maybe that was the same shot you're speaking of. Anyways, doesn't matter that much.

I don't recall that they showed it as much as they showed the windup, cut to a different view had a loud thump sound effect, and showed the aftermath.

I watched that scene a few times, once in slow motion. She didn't get shot, he did have his hand around her throat but I too believe it was the punch to the throat that killed her. That Mikey (sorry I know he hates to be called that ) is one tough guy to have that much power and energy after being shot a couple of times.

Shot as in camera shot, not shot with a gun.

Didn't see that coming with Mikey getting killed in a Katherine brawl. That's a tough old bird. Mikey went out hardcore with a blow to the larynx that took her out. Good episode. Sad only two more eps.

As soon as they started that scene and she walked into the RV with the soft classical music playing I knew that was going to be the best scene of the episode. They had set it up so well.

And after all that Mikey's loyalty kicks back in because of what she said.

Boon and Raylan. You know they will meet again.

It wasn't done very realistically.

If she was strangled or received a blow to the larynx, she would have taken awhile to suffocate.
If her death, as shown on screen, is to be believed, she died of a severe skull fracture from a blow to the head.
This could cause instant death.

It was nice that Mikey "cared" for Duffy at the end. Also seemed that Duffy was fond of him too. They did not have any tension during the final moments.

Thought the bloodbath in Duffy's RV could have been written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The snappy dialog coupled with the breathtaking violence were the sort of thing Tarantino has always done. Come to think of it, Elmore Leonard wrote a lot of that kind of thing too.

It looked like the showdown between Raylan and Boon was imminent but it didn't happen. Was happy to learn the backstory to Boon's hat, though.

Every time I start to underestimate Boyd's murderousness he reminds me that I was wrong. The latest example came when Boyd sweet talked his former henchman out of killing him and then murdered the henchman in cold blood himself. Brrrr!

I have no conceivable idea or thoughts about how the story will end up in a couple of weeks. The writers have out done them selves IMO with all the "WOW didn't see that coming" And how well the actors have done their jobs as well.

Heck of a show and gonna sure miss it

I will make one prediction: There will be two shootings that bookend this series. The first was in S1E1, scene 1 where Raylan first told that crook that he would either leave town in 24 hours, or Raylan would shoot him. He then returned and shot him, and got exiled to Kentucky.

The second bookend killing I believe will be Boon. He wears a Black Hat with gusto while fondling a Colt sixgun. The hat is so new, there is a visible white tag on it, and Raylan has already discussed the hat with him twice. Raylan of course wears a White Hat. There is a classic fast-draw shooting scene in the making.

That is the great thing about Westerns, they don't need to be full of twists, just conform to the formula.

Like the byplay between Tim and Raylan. Tim not altogether trusting of Raylan and the money and Raylan just giving him a look.

My bet is still that Loretta gets to off Boon and Raylon gets Boyd & Avery.
