I liked how it ended. Matter of fact, it was a good enough ending to be a series ender.
I like Covert Affairs a lot too and hope USA renews it.

Finally saw the season finale last night and really enjoyed it. I agree that it would have been an almost perfect series finale. It was satisfying but still avoided tying everything up too neatly.

I particularly enjoyed the charismatic Belenko character's combination of charm and menace. Thought Shawn Doyle did a great job playing him. I have a hunch that this might be the end of the line for Covert Affairs but hope not.

Sure felt like a series finale to me- everyone going their own way, off in a new direction.
I hope it's not over either...

It is one of my favorite shows. Yes, it was a great season finale. I don't think USA has not renewed it yet which is maybe why it felt like a series finale in case it was not brought back...

That's a shame- it was a nice little show that never went crazy/over the top like 24, etc..
A likeable cast and I enjoyed the exotic locations, but as mentioned above that probably pushed the costs up considerably.

I hope P.P. gets another gig soon.

Really USA. You cancel Covert Affairs and renew Graceland, really!

Is really shocking and disappointing. This is a show that in my opinion kept getting better each season as we saw Annie go from a rookie to a seasoned operative. That is too bad. I amreally going to miss Covert Affairs!

Thanks for that- it all added to the show's charm...
Seems like the location shots were like most of Annie's missions "off book & under the radar".

love the show but it was time. This past season fell off a little. I'd rather have my shows end a season early then stay on a season too long and hurt it's legacy. Sort of like white collar. I watched white collar from the beginning but by end of season 4 I had enough. It just got worse. I watched the series finale only since and I was able to catch up and feel like I did not miss a thing. I actually like Graceland. Season 1 was much better than season 2. Can't get enough of serinda swan.

I'm not too surprised but I'll miss the Augie and Annie show.

It's not at all shocking to me. The last episode was clearly written with the intent that it could serve as a series finale. The writing must have been on the wall for a while.

Yeah, that last episode felt like it could be THE last episode... I didn't enjoy this recent season as much as the previous ones, but by most show's standards it was still a solid season. There were a lot of good people, regulars and guests, who worked on this show.

Damn, I knew when I saw this thread had been bumped it was bad news.

I agree with what everyone has written. It was a great show with maybe one more good season in it before it would have went downhill.

As was mentioned, the last scene did seem to have a series finale in mind. Maybe they were given a heads up and at least got to throw that in there for all the fans. I did laugh when I read the first link. The reviewer obviously missed that the scene could be a finale instead of a cliffhanger.

Anyway, goodbye Covert Affairs! You were a fun show to watch!
