If you know all share with us. I have read all of the 5 and still waiting for the next book to find out whats happened to Jon and Dany. They are in about the same spot at the end of epoisoid 10 as the end of 5. Dany did have her dragon fly in just before the horsemen showed up.

Good read - the casting "spoiler" speculation is particularly interesting...

f you read the Game of Thrones books, you know that Jon Snow is probably coming back from the dead. If you look at Kit Harington's hair, you know that Jon Snow is probably coming back from the dead. And if you saw the pictures of Kit Harington arriving in Belfast (where GOT season six is currently in production) this week, you know that Jon Snow is probably coming back from the dead. But, of course, like Schrödinger's cat, we won't know for sure that Jon's back until Thrones returns next spring, which means that for the next nine months, every single one of Harington's movements will be obsessively scrutinized for clues towards Jon's status. And he knows it, too: As you can tell from the photos fans have been snapping, he's absolutely miserable about being spotted — and not just because that's the way his face looks. Are we going to be doing this every time I step out in public? he seems to be saying. Yes, Kit. Yes we are.

Ian McShane has signed for a role next season. I'm guessing it's the Head Maester of the Citadel.

They could stop that very easily. Just announce that he IS coming back. But that would slow down the publicity train, and that is not happening.

Pretty sure he's going to be one of Theon's uncles.

They have a poll on watchersonthewall & Sams dad is the favorite:

Randyll Tarly - 48% (202 votes)
Euron Greyjoy - 18% (74 votes)
Character in a flashback - 10% (42 votes)
Archmaester Marwyn - 9% (38 votes)
Someone else - 8% (34 votes)
Septon Meribald - 5% (19 votes)
Elder Brother - 2% (10 votes)

The casting description fits him too - hes a little older but can easily pull it off:
"Father, aged 50’s to 60’s, he’s one of the greatest soldiers in Westeros- a humorless martinet, severe and intimidating. He demands martial discipline in the field and in his home."

A new Greyjoy? or is he a Head Maester at old town, Sam's father? I think it may be what Jon Snow looks like after he comes back. It fits

What storyline do you think Randyll Tarly would have?
He supported the Targaryens against Robert.
As an ally to Dany?

I have a friend who's been playing an extra on GoT. I'm trying to find out if he knows anything, or if he can tell me. He might be under strict rules not to talk about what's going on on the set.... However, just because they keep saying Jon Snow is dead means nothing. Actors and crews are under strict rules according to contracts sometimes, to protect the stories. Sometimes producers will write more than one script, or keep scripts under wraps until the last possible minute in order to keep the storyline secret. It isn't "lying" so much as deception. (I know, splitting hairs) At any rate, if he IS a Targaryen, it wouldn't be a lie, would it? Jon Snow would be dead, but Jon Tarrgaryen would be born, or live, whatever. At any rate, his hair is still long, so I'm going to keep hoping. I love his character. I wish GRRM would hurry up already with the next book.

*edit*

It is as I suspected. Can't talk about it. It's in the contract. Some things are just too secret. Which just goes to show, it's highly possible Kit will be back, in some form or another.

He isn't allowed to talk about *anything* that happens on the set - who's on there, who isn't, what they're filming, or anything that goes on, even if it isn't related to the show. If he did, and the producers found out, they could sue him. They seriously don't want people finding out what's happening next season. He did say he's having a blast though.

He's also working on Vikings. Man, I miss working in film/TV. That was the most fun I've ever had at work. It wasn't even like work, even when it was.
