Here is the site for the show:
http://www.amctv.com/originals/Rubicon/

Watched the "sneak preview" and really liked the show. I dont know how well it will do in the ratings becasue it looks like its going to be heavily serialized and heavy on the conspiracy theory. From what I saw the pace seems to move well, while still keeping almsot everything in the "shadows". Ill keep watching when it comes out in August.

Great pilot. Can't wait for the rest! AMC scores again.

BTW, you can download the pilot in 720p on iTunes for free.

Great show! I plan to watch this every week. Nice to see "Leckie" from The Pacific getting more work; he's good in this!

I quite enjoyed the preview episode a while back. And after seeing the ad during Mad Men slot it reminded me to setup a season's pass. Looking forward to it.

I thought this was great. I am very excited for this series now. It seemed smart and engaging, with pretty good production values to boot. COunt me as impressed!

By the way, for anyone who missed the 2 premier episodes, they are replaying them tonight it seems.

I might give ep.1 another try (it was too slow and obtruse), and watch ep.2.

It just seemed too confusing (even though it was meant to be).

Paranoid spy thrillers have always been among my favorites. I watched the first hour of this week's show and was driven crazy by the knowledge that I had seen it. Not until I revisited this thread did I realize that it had been shown as a preview in June. Anyway, I liked it then and liked as well this time, although i remembered the details very well. The show is off to a good start and I look forward to more.

Loved the acting, loved the mystery, loved everything about it. Hope they keep the same level of intensity throughout the series.

Finally, one TV show that I can enjoy with my wife who doesn't watch much anything that isn't Masterpiece Theater. Well done.

Im glad I wasnt the only one having a little deja-vu when I watched the 1st episode. Was good then was good again, plus it allowed me to flow into the second episode without much effort .......

Looks like this is going to be a very good series, hopefully they keep the mystery up although some of it has already been "given" too us Cant wait for the rest of the season.

I must have been dozing but what's going on with the crossword puzzle thingy? Seems extremly unrealistic and far fetched. What am I missing here?

That building where they work is the worst designed office building I have ever seen. narrow hallways, support pillars all over the place, crappy, cramped looking offices and the computer genius workstation looks like he is in a basement along with the furnace and tools hung on the wall!

So far I do like it.

I liked it much better than I thought I would. I suppose I will watch it, but then I can't gripe about the lack of AMC HD on satellite.

Very clever of them to show back to back episodes to start. Great idea with a slow moving show.

I forget where one reviewer was saying "don't watch it in the dark". Not sure I understand that comment.

Matt Roush has an interesting half page review in this week's TV GUIDE. He comments that the show is "undeniably sluggish" and he hopes that "our patience" with the show will be rewarded.

There are matching answers in a few of the major newpaper crossword puzzels. They ahve been called the "indecators". I believe in episode 2 they said that the last time this happeend was right after a major bombing happened. The crosswords still havent been fully fleshed out though and it is part of the mystery of the show. This is one of those shows you cant "snooze" on or youll miss something

The music is extraordinary. Scored mostly for strings, piano and percussion, like Bartok. Characters have their own themes. The tension and mood is being generated as much by the score as by anything else in the show, and it's perfect.

I fear that this show is much too good to last.

Well then, rejoice at a small television miracle! I just hope all these folks stick with it...

Nielsen Overnights (Cable)
Solid Start For 'Rubicon'
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com's 'TV Editor' - August 2nd, 2010

The two-hour opener of AMC’s third original series, political thriller Rubicon, became the network's highest-rated and most-watched original series premiere ever, attracting two million total viewers. For comparison, Mad Men averaged 900,000 viewers and Breaking Bad 1.2 million viewers in their first seasons. Following the two-hour Rubicon premiere, the second episode of Mad Men's fourth episode drew 2.5 million viewers, down 14% from last week's season premiere. "With last night's premiere of Rubicon, AMC is now three for three with our original series," said Charlie Collier, president and GM of AMC. Rubicon, which moves to its regular Sunday 9 PM time slot next week, had already been sampled by 4.6 million viewers via the network's sneak peek on-air as well as on VOD, iTunes and Hulu.

Well, it's a little too early to call it a masterpiece, but AMC is putting out some good stuff so we'll see.

I really enjoyed this week's episode. Rubicon is a complex spy thriller that has so many subtle layers, it would be worthy of a John Le Carre novel. Not only is it fun, if you pay attention you can even learn a little inside baseball.

Another good episode. Like the reviews said, it's unraveling slowly. That's fine with me; I'm just grateful somebody's still making programs like this.

Really love the full orchestral opening theme as well. Everything about this show so far is so well done.

Or you sould just use your providers OnDemand system, pretty sure that AMC might even have an HD OnDemand offering.

I'm really enjoying this show. I just hope that there is a real ending planned. I don't want to get heavily involved in something like Lost that gets dragged out and has a slapped together resolution that only partially makes sense. I'm hopeful because it seems that there is a real mystery here that needs to be solved.

Good comment. I was also thinking Le Carre: most especially the BBC mini-series productions for the Karla trilogy.
