Has anyone brought up the foreshadow that was used early in the season finale when Rick is showing Carl how to trap the rabbit? He explains how the rabbit enters and is then baited and trapped. Now fast forward to the end when they enter Terminus together. They were basically baited towards the box car with all the gun fire from guards there. This was some excellent story writing here folks, can't wait until October!!!

How about if you take the episode title. A. Rotate it right. It looks like a gauntlet that has a bar in it similar to a door!

You should know you can't drop in to a finale discussion this late in the thread. A couple of days in the real world is like a hundred posts in the AVS world. biggrin.gif

Keeping it upright like an "A" shows direction of travel, like an arrow.

The cross bar would be the cross piece you hang the snare from within the funnel.

Well written show, and shot beautifully by the talented Director Michelle MacLaren. Apparently 7 cameras used in the final scene when the group was being herded.. The Producers should use her more often...

Nice...I have a friend who just retired from Georgia Tech who informed me that the quarry in the first season is within a few miles of campus. I had always tried to figure out where it was in reference to the city of Atlanta because I could see the skyline in the distance but figured it was somehow digitally manipulated, living north of Atlanta my entire life I did not know there was a quarry anywhere in the vicinity. You can go to Google Earth and find Georgia Tech, then fly around it a bit and lo and behold, there it was.

He also pointed me a website, which escapes me at the moment, that shows the locations of the various shooting locations. It's something like walkingdeadlocations.com but I cannot be certain.

I believe I heard the quarry is going to be drained and filled in in the not-too-distant future.

‘The Walking Dead’ is back! Well, kinda.
AMC reveals the show's secrets in 'Inside the Walking Dead'

By Louisa Ada Seltzer, Media Life Magazine - Jul. 8, 2014

It’s summer. Ratings for your network are down, your top show is on hiatus, and none of your new shows has really caught on. So what do you do?

If you’re AMC, you put something related to your record-breaking top show on the air, even if it’s not a new episode.

Hence tonight’s special, “Inside the Walking Dead,” which airs at 10 p.m. on AMC. The documentary explores the making of the smash hit zombie drama, including how the show’s story arcs are mapped out and how they apply that killer makeup.

“Inside” is the second of three “Dead” specials AMC has planned leading up to July 25, when the network will premiere the highly anticipated trailer for the show’s fifth season at Comic Con.

Last fall, following similar hype and buildup, “Dead” returned to record ratings. It’s easily the No. 1 non-sports show on cable and it lifted AMC to all-time ratings highs last year.

This summer, however, has been a different story for the network. Its new shows, “Halt and Catch Fire” and “Turn,” have drawn only okay ratings, and viewership among adults 18-49 was down 11 percent in primetime in June, according to Nielsen, following a 6 percent dip in May.

The talking dead special aired this past Sunday night. The walkind dead special is this week.

Couldn't agree more! That Rubicon was one and done still sickens me. It didn't have just one delightfully edgy and weird character actor in its cast, it was filled with them: Michael Cristofer, Miranda Richardson, Arliss Howard, and the late great, Christopher Evan Welch come to mind. Too bad, too bad! Rubicon is just one more example of a television show that was too smart for its own good.

Couldn't agree more with the takes on Rubicon. For me it was a sin that it got cancelled, the show got better every week. Deserved to be mentioned in the same discussion with the better shows on AMC. Characters:
Not many better than Truxton Spangler, and "Chase" from Season 3 of 24, with his arm attached, and others as noted. Looks like it's available for free with Amazon Prime in HD, [if I could only figure out how to make it work]. [Operator error, mine.]

Rubicon also had James Badge Dale who I first took serious notice playing Pfc. Robert Leckie in The Pacific.

Two things about this show's universe I don't understand...

1.) Why aren't they all attempting to get somewhere near an ocean so they have a food supply and (at least) one side covered at all times (assuming of course someone in the camp doesn't suddenly die and turn unnoticed).

2.) If they are so intent on staying in a land-locked state/area...why on Earth have they not taken a page from the Ewoks and moved their habitat 10-20' up in the trees?

My minor off-season musings as I wait to see if any of Rick's pals get BBQ'd...

That was an awesome hour-long special. Really cool insights, well done, and cool they interviewed everyone. We really liked how they made things and how they made the prison from almost nothing and was so convincing that a correctional guard stopped by because he was told there was a prison down here but they have no record of one.

Whaaaat? Two? Only two?

There are a hundred ways each week they could be improving their survival chances and as we've noted in this thread a hundred other locations from boats to islands to forts that they could be heading for to build a base.

The RV was the best idea they ever had.

I have no recollection of this Rubicon show. Had to Google it. Looks interesting. Only lasted one season I see. Checked Netflix and they don't have it yet.

I wouldn't back up to the ocean. It might be nice to be near it for fishing, but if you were backed up to it that means you have nowhere to run when the zombies come after you. I'd much rather have multiple escape routes.

Have a boat on standby. Which you should anyway just for fishing and travel shortcuts.

Got to be careful of them just floating ashore or in shallow water just taking a walk underwater too.
