Actually, the Talking Dead discussion was, why didn't Carol and Daryl hook up? Either of them could die at any minute so probably do what Abe and Rosita do.
IMO, they must have all died at once and that rules out starvation.

Carol is old enough to be Daryl's mother...I'm sure he prefers young Beth.

The actress is only 4 years older than the actor. I don't know how old they are supposed to be on the show. Reedus was born in 1969 and McBride was born in 1965. The gray in her hair is not determinative of age.

I thought they weren't that far apart in age. Even on the show, I'd guess Carol's character is supposed to be ~40. Daryl is at least mid-30s considering Merle was likely mid-40s...

Abe outkicked his coverage with Rosita!

OK, Carol is at least old enough to be his older sister!

Just rewatched the end of the last episode and I don't think Carol sacrificed herself by purposely running in front of the car. They were all trying to get out of the building before the cops showed up. Noah fell down and Darryl slowed down to help him up while Carol ran out through the doors into traffic. I think Carol needs to learn how to look before you leap. That was twice that she got in trouble for rushing into a situation before figuring out if it's safe.

Of course, how many moving vehicles do you think they see these days? They've probably gotten used to not having to look anymore.

The only traffic you need to worry about running into is a swarm/herd of walkers.

I think the ONLY reason people have it in their head that Carol sacrificed herself is because people were wondering from the previous week how Carol gained access to the hospital and James Bond theories were proposed. Now that we've seen the episode, there was obviously no trojan horse planned.

Ok, poor choice of phrasing. I meant that she exited the building without checking for danger (Walkers, bad guys, whatever).

Reedus' girlfriend in real life is nearly as young as Beth is on the show and that's fine by me. Bit I'm from Europe, here we have no stupid law to forbid hooking up with a 17yro girl anyway.

True story....in 1904 there were only 4 motor cars in the United States. 2 of them hit head on at the Worlds Fair in St Louis. There may be only one car driving for hundreds of miles but you could be hit by it.

I once drove past a crash at a railroad crossing in which a car hit a very slow moving train.
The train consisted of an engine and a caboose.

My immediate thought was simply "What are the odds?"

Yep, apart from that moment of character idiocy (hey, stand behind me while I focus all my attention out of the window why doncha?) and the worst example of super stealth ninja zombie syndrome the show has ever had it was a pretty solid episode otherwise.

Decent episode tonight. I am finally watching my (1/fir)st episode of The Talking Dead. I am almost 3/4th done with commercial breaks. It's pretty boring. Yep, host sucks. Not much behind the scenes (same as online web?). I think I will stop recording and watching these after this episode. :P

Do you judge many things off one episode?unless producers/writers are on the background or insight is kept at a minimum. They do have some cool inbetween bits that if you FFW through commercials you might miss however.

I did see the quizzes, quotes, memories, etc. Was tonight's TWD episode a weak one? I am thinking of just recording and skimming through future ones and only watching a few parts.

Don't be so certain! Wait until we find out the Gradyites are really run by the Governor's evil twin brother and that the whole thing has been an elaborate trap to get revenge.

Although I'm a PFT fan, he was pretty quiet the whole show. What he did have to say was funny, though. I think it was a weak show on the whole. Mostly because the 2 girls were boring and the topics were a bore.
